Well, im back from vacation and needing to vent.

 

I wonder where all the MODS on that other forum-that-shall-remain-nameless are hiding.

 

All of the top players showed up in Mexico City, nobody is being kidnapped or murdered and the tournament has been a glowing success thus far!

I could say a lot but it's not the right thing to do.  A ton of good folks over there however there is so much wrong and so much right here at MGS so it's a no brainer.

I won't go into great detail but the so called "owner" of the site released private email, cell and business information of a few members because he disagreed with our opinion on the topic of Direct/AT&T, who happened to be a paying sponsor of the site at the time.

 

Pretty classless move that will only hurt the site as more and more people find out about it. And I'm not bashful in sharing my feelings on the topic.

 

Edit to add, some great people over there. No issue whatsoever with anyone but the one guy and whoever else may have been involved.

Quick rant on fed ex. My new irons were to come in today. Got to the local fed ex yesterday and were not delivered. Why I do not know. Tracking updated to now Monday delivery. So we will get the clubs Tuesday as our club is closed on Mondays. I was excited to get the new irons and now I'll just have to keep those feelings for the next few days.

Confirmed!!!!! I'm playing Kiawah at the end of May/first of June!!!! I'm working a conference there, so the lodging, meals, and flight will ALL be covered!!! I can't wait! Two bedroom villa already reserved at the Kiawah Island Resort! Woo-HOO!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I was death warmed over. What sucks is my son now has the flu. Almost missed his birthday party.. Key word almost. He wasn't going to miss getting all those presents, lol.

Wife dropped my DSLR yesterday while putting it away because she was afraid that she would drop it. Landed right on the lens which is now angled going into the housing. Not sure if it's worth fixing or getting a new replacement lens. Didn't get a chance to check out the body to see if everything else was OK. There goes my new irons this year...

I keep having to remind myself it's still early March.  If the course opens any time in March that's just bonus golf, but we've been spoiled so far this spring.  I actually go to play a round outside in Feb here in MN.  That's just completely unheard of.  I'm hopeful that we could be golfing for the season in maybe 2 weeks or so, but we have snow and single digit lows in the forecast for the next week.

Your post reminds me of the story about the guy that gets home and finds his wife outside with her bags packed.  He asked, where are you going.   She said I am going to Vegas, I hear that I can get $500 a pop, for the things I do to your sorry butt for free.  Then the guy packs his bags as well.  Where are you going, the wife asks. He responds:  I'm going to Vegas as well, I want to see how you are going to live on $1,000 a year.
