What's the one thing you wish you could fix today?

G. My issue is focus.

 

I can putt for birdie, tap in par for several holes. Never know how many... but at some point, I lose it. Not sure why, but I'll blow up a hole or two, then get back on track.

My tempo has been lacking for a few weeks. Which translates for me not getting my shoulders rotated back around properly and then getting quick with my downward transition. Honestly I'm only talking about perhaps 1" - 2"  more. Makes a huge difference though.

Short game all day long.

 

Need to improve my up and down percentage. Not a putting thing, hard to 1 putt consistently from 10 feet. Also those finess shots are a problem

I get the jitters when playing with low handicappers - invariable (in men's league) they pair me up with guys with hcp of 5-10 and I go from playing in the low to mid 90's to playing 110-115. So frustrating

I always get paired with guys who say they shoot in the 90's only to watch them hack away to a 112 ;-)

D. Inconsistency

If you were to say there are 4 elements on a hole. Tee, fairway, pitch/chip and putting.

On almost every hole I fail at one or two of these. Sometimes being successful at all.

However, lately I'm getting a little better and I think that has to do with keeping my confidence up better.

Attitude, focus, confidence, whatever you call it. The mental side of the game. I hit it far enough and putt well enough but when I get into serious play or am paired with strangers I often feel like I'll embarrass myself or don't belong. One duck hook and it's all over. Need to R-E-L-A-X.
