I remember it like it was yesterday/ Was it yesterday? At my age, it's hard to tell....

 

GolfSpy MBP's very next post -- and I hope he does it here - will be post # 5,000 of his illustrious MyGolfSpy career. Who was around for his first one?  We learned about something called a ManBearPig - now I've met MBP - he's neither a Pig nor a Bear, but he's manly enough for a Western Canadian....

 

We've had some good times with MBP - the Great MyGolfSpy Vancouver Open was definitely a high spot - Dan was an awesome host and the golf and the company were awesome. I've hooked up with MBP a few times since when business has brought me to Vancouver, but we haven't golfed together since - that needs to change soon.

 

WE love MBP for his Speed Reviews, his Golf Ball reviews, his weekly newsletter to the blog subscribers (that's his handiwork, in case you didn't know), and he is responsible for one of the all time great threads in MyGolfSpy Forum history - the Distinguished Gentlemen's thread - which went on for years with Lord knows how many posts. Someone with more initiative than I needs to dig that up.

 

Then there was MBP, Bones, Mr. Theoo, HighFade and others heading to the Kingdom for the big SLDR release whoopdeedoo....MBP was again responsible for one of the greatest photos in MGS history, this one of Bones getting a little sassy.  Again, we need to track it down!!!

 

So in honor of this momentous achievement and to thank him for all he brings to MyGolfSpy -- please join me in an Augusta back-nine eagle cheer for my man, GolfSpy MBP!!!!
