perseveringgolfer
I know exactly mine. My top half moves left on backswing and right on downswing causing LOADS of thins, fats, pulls, snap hooks, block fades etc etc When I dont do it the strikes are awesome, but rare. I need a drill to stop it. 00sportsman
My hands always seem to find their way inside during the backswing, then loop so I'm outside-in on my way through. It's much worse with the driver, so I have to be really deliberate on my take-away.Some people who've seen my swing would probably tell you that my biggest fault is that I tried to take a swing in the first place.Sent from my XT1585 using MyGolfSpy mobile app I always try to remember that I'm not good enough to get mad! PlaidJacket
I'd have to say... not making enough/good shoulder turn in my backswing. Basically getting lazy. When I play like that my game suffers. I think it leads to quickness throughout. Canucklehead
Being very flat in my backswing. Worked on getting just a bit more vertical and my lack of hip turn seemed to go away and began to make good rotations. GB13
Where to begin... I'll start with my tendency to use my right arm too much and "cast" the club to early. I have switched to an overlap grip and really focused on "pulling" with my left arm to avoid casting. So far, my wrist flipping and snap hook have gone away. (mostly) My second problem only happens rarely, but is generally the cause of my WTF days. After my backswing, in my transistion, I drop the club way down and inside, that cause my weight to stay on my back foot, which leads to shanks and snap hooks. I don't know why this happens, but I'd love advice on how to stop it. silver & black
I have no idea. All this talk of sliding, wrist cock, shoulder turn, hands inside, early release, over rotations, under rotations weight on this or that foot...................... Do you guys really understand all this stuff and are able to diagnose it in your own swing? I suppose some of you more accomplished players that have played for 40+ years can figure some of this stuff out, but I seriously doubt that 98% of us on here can. Just my .02 cents. Big money
I forgot adding mine. I’ve always fought over the top. Took many a lesson from qualified pros who tackled the fault directly or indirectly (other forces before that cause it). Would work my tail off for hundreds upon hundreds of hours with the mirror- simulators - golf ranges - many drills. On the range , or with instructor I could accomplish their tasks almost every time. And would always be on a good plane. But once on the course. I was never able to implement their teachings and reverted back. Oddly it would always feel like my lesson or drill work. But the over top would always be there when on the course playing golf. Why? I have no idea. You would think all the countless hours of drills and work would show when it counts. revkev
Hips that sway rather than rotate - as I attempt to get behind the ball I forget to let that part work properly, from there I get stuck inside and hit blocks or snap hooks. So long as I keep that hip turn going smoothly everything else pretty much falls into place. If it's not right I need lots of other things to happen in order to hit a good shot. IF you know what you're looking for, "maybe" you figure out what is causing the ball flight you don't like. I'm saying that 98% of us don't know what causes anything. Those of you that claim that you know what you're doing wrong don't need a professional to diagnose your swing and what to do to fix it. So....... there is a lot of talk/suggestions on here to take lessons/see your local pro to help you fix your problems. If most of you know what your problem is............... what's the problem?......... with fixing it?

My brain visualizes a rather effective swing and instructs the body based on that visual. However, my body responds to the brain with "brain, are you serious". The body tells the brain, while you may not recognize age, I must.
null
Poor wrist angles.
