I really hope next year is better.  And I hope the Maize and Blue can at least give you guys a game.  Beating them used to mean a good win... now it means nothing in the grand scheme of things...  haven’t been relevant in years, and are years away from it too.

They almost lost to a team that lost to a garbage LSU team. I think they’re extremely good, but their defense is still suspect against great offense. I think they showed the SEC isn’t as strong as it has been, and (with ND) conferences like the ACC have closed the gap. It’s still there, but I think teams like Georgia have been consistently overrated all season long. 

I do think (and I know I’m biased) the only team with a shot to beat them is Clemson. They looked dominant against ND yesterday, and took their foot off the gas in the fourth.

The return of Jimbo to his alma mater was fun while it lasted but Michigan desperately needs to move on.

Possible for ANOTHER, ND Clemson game...

Definitely the best 4 teams this year... I hope.  I could have just as easily saw someone else in #4... but I’m not sure.

I think there’s an argument those are the best four teams, but it also looks like Clemson and Bama are still in a league of their own. 

The problem with the same teams getting in is that it impacts recruiting. For example, Michigan has not been able to recruit as well since they don’t make the playoff. Everyone from the region is going to OSU. OR leaving for Clemson/Bama. 17-18 year old kids want to play on the big stage. Need to expand the playoff so recruiting becomes more spread out.

You never know. If they get the right coach, it could turn around in a year. I hope they turn it around and become a power in the big 10 like they should be. I miss  The Game.

There are a lot of very good players in the North East. I agree that he needs to recruit around the country, but there are some serious good players just in Ohio alone.

I hear you.  It has been more like practice for you all lately... no meaning.

Sounds like Harbaugh is staying... but a new DC, thankfully!  I know most of the talent is recruited by other top teams... so it is not a talent issue.  It’s a coaching issue.

If I was head of the CFP:

• Expand the playoffs to 6 or 7 teams. NFL is showing you how it's done. EIther one team or two teams get a bye while the others fight it out in the quarter finals. Eight teams sounds the best, but most years, it's 1 or 2 really dominant teams and 3 to 5 great teams. 
• I think if you perform poorly (lose by more than 25 points) in 4 straight playoff appearances, you receive a one year ban on being selected. I'm tired of OU and ND laying turds in the playoffs. I hope I'm wrong but Bama might put that game away before half time. 
• P5 champions, the top G6 team and one wildcard get selected. Only 'eye' test would be the G6 and wildcard team. 
• Require all conferences to play 10 conference games and 3 non-conference games. 3 Non-cons should be 1 P5 team, 1 G6 team and 1 toss-up. Gotta help the small schools stay in business...and no, I'm not a socialist. 
• Committee will be current/ex head coaches. One representative from every P5 and G6 conference. No ADs, no politicians, no media members, no NCAA figure heads. 
• Release rankings after week 6. Remind folks that ESPN, FOX Sports and other various media outlets have no effect on rankings. 

But alas, I'll go back to yelling at my TV and hearing my neighbors complain that A&M didn't get in the playoff this year...

Those Top 4 were determined months ago, and with the way ND lost to Clemson, they have no shot vs Alabama. Texas A&M would have a better chance just because of the history ND has shown under this coach when in the “big games”....

Ohio State, although talented, has no business being in the Top 4 having played just 6 games. I’m sorry, but when others have played almost twice as many games, they deserve it more. Ohio State being in is complete proof that the Top 4 were determined long ago. 
This “playoff” is a complete sham. Clemson will forever be in the Top 4 because the ACC sucks. Teams like Cincinnati start outside the Top 20 and HAVE to be undefeated JUST to move-up 10 spots, and will NEVER be given the chance to get in the Top 4.

Complete joke. The coronations are done in August.
