Popular Post Wheelieb
Morning All, A return to work for a full work week feels strange. I got up and was excited that my gps said I’d arrive to work, which means golf course on base, at 659. Was stoked cause I’d get 9 holes in with the shoes. It’s a little chilly with the wind, but it is 50 out. I put my shoes on in the jeep and got out, went to the back and opened the hatch and my clubs weren’t there. They are still at home…in my garage…where I was practicing putting yesterday. That was a big kick in the knackers. All good though, I’ll bring them tomorrow and hope traffic isn’t bad tomorrow so I can get out. @Josh Parker hope you start feeling better. Everyone, hope you all have a great day. Popular Post IndyBonzo
Good morning Spies! A chilly morning, especially wearing shorts as I try to get back into the gym routine. Step 1 to more swing speed at my advancing age has to be added strength. Swing speed is definitely down a little bit from last year when I was working out more regularly. Licking that can be fixed! @Josh Parker sending you good wishes for an improved day! A very busy day and early week on tap with travel again late week. A little bummed bc I found out yesterday that the planned round with friends this Friday in Boston (we are all traveling for a board meeting there) did not come together due to no private club connections and tough access to public courses. That means I need to try to convince FABWIFE to let me play late Sunday upon return from MA. FABWIFE is cool, but that may be a tall order. Time for strategies. I hope you all have a great day and great weeks! If you are golfing, let my jealousy boost your game. Popular Post JoeCool
Good morning Spies! Woke up this morning with white stuff coming down from sky! Popular Post MattWillGolf
Good morning Spies, A chilly, sunny Monday morning in CNY. Morning golf is on the schedule. Cuppa going down quite nicely. I have a light “speed” session for my run workout but that will get pushed to the afternoon. In my case “speed” is relative. The SPCA Fundraiser my wife worked yesterday at a new local brewery was a great success. A great musical group, The Horn Dogs, provided the entertainment. They had a great horn section and most of the musicians were my age. I enjoyed a nice Irish Stout. Funk n Waffles was the food truck. They were featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives many years ago. @Rob Person the outdoor setup looks great. Looks like the makings of a proper “19th Hole”. Wishing all a wonderful day! Popular Post Dead Solid Bogey
Good morning on this Manic Monday my spies. @Josh Parker hope you just have a slight case of Monday mania and are feeling better soon. The drive home with the family CEO was “ informative “ to say the least. We weren’t a block away from the hotel on the way home when the “ Lady of Lost Logic “ started in. She started by saying how much fun the DAY had been and that she wanted to do more of these Soecial Couple DAY trips. While she paused to get her breath, I merely mentioned that the last 3 DAYS were more than 1 DAY. That while the concert had been fun… Trips like this were time consuming and rather costly. The “Sanity Slaying Sorceress” countered by stating since I wasn’t play golf or buying golf thingies like the club carrying tube ( golf club bags to the rest of the world ) WE would have plenty of time and money for such trips. I was able to short-circuit any further discussion on the topic by stating that come late in the first week of May that I very well maybe playing golf again and on the cost front I would have needed to buy a couple of the golf club carrying tube thingies ( Ghost Golf bags ) at full price to cover the cost of the just completed DAY trip. I finished the conversation by explaining to the stubborn spouse that while there might be a need for a retreat for those suffering from “ Tupperware Trauma “ that is was an extremely small population and didn’t / wouldn’t include me. We decided to table any further discussion until I get an update on my Medical Novella at the end of the first week of May. To hopefully brighten this Monday for all I leave this best organic garbage disposal /cleaning device ever, for all to peruse…. Make this Monday yours my friends..
