What golf books to gift for XMas without offending

What are your favorite, non-instructional type of golf books?  If you don't want to offend one of your golfing friends by getting him or her a "How to stop slicing" or "Golf Rules for Dummies" book what do you get? These are some of my favorite decent reading books but do center around a golf theme.

Currently reading "A Course Called America" by Tom Coyne

Then there is a favorite of mine, "Chicken Soup for the Golfer's Soul"  by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Jeff Aubery, with Mark and Chrissy Donnelly.

A trilogy, "Miracle on the 17th Green" by James Patterson and Peter De Jonge. Followed by "Miracle at Augusta" same authors and "Miracle at St. Andrews". You guessed it, same authors.

All five are great reads and in my humble opinion (yes, I'm one of those old farts that types out everything) are well worth it at gift exchange time.

If you have some favorites, certainly feel free to add your two cents. Happy Thanksgiving all.

Not an individual book, but a subscription to the Golfers Journal is a nice gift.  Tom Coyne is one of the senior editors.  4 issues per year, no instruction, no equipment reviews, no pro tour stuff, relatively little advertising, just good writing and great photography.

They are a little outdated to some extent, but I've always like John Feinstein's golf books.  A Good Walk Spoiled, The Majors, The First Major and Open:  Inside the Ropes at Bethpage Black were all pretty good and provided an interesting view of golf.

“A Season in Dornoch:  Golf and Life in the Scottish Highlands “ by Lorne Rubenstein. It may be out of print now, but well worth hunting down.
EDIT:  I see there are a few new copies available from Amazon sellers.

I enjoyed The Match by Mark Frost.  The Appendix at the end describing Marion Hollins' impact creating Cypress Point and Pasatiempo is worth the read as well.

This book is pretty good. I read it some time ago and liked it. I also need to write a paper for my literature course, and I am thinking about writing on this book. I've read such papers before but it was always hard for me, but thanks to https://edubirdie.com/essay-writing-help-online I've never missed a deadline. But now I have more time, and the book is really interesting to me, so I'll do my best to succeed. Or I'll browse this forum to find something else, and maybe it will be an even better option for me.

A beautiful "coffee table" book is Emerald Gems, photography by Lawrence Lambrecht.  It seems to be out of print, but Its possible there are still new copies available:
