FYI changed desktop browser from Google Chrome to Vivaldi.

Just an fyi to all; certainly may be an isolated issue impacting only me...

So I often read through the forum on my phone but recently .. finally! .. cleaned out and reorganized my home office and got my PC and large monitor set up on a new desk (that my lovely wife got me for a gift). It's still Window 10 (can't be updated to 11 .. doesn't have the newer security chip) but I keep it - and the browser - updated every time I use it.

However...  Now when trying to browse the forum on the PC using Google Chrome it kept running out of memory and crashing (there's almost nothing else installed on this machine, and nothing else running in the background).

I'd suspected it was the large volume of rich (very rich ) media ads plus all the pop-ups...

Looked at Opera and Brave but decided that Vivaldi - vivaldi.com - looked the best to me.

Problem solved!!!

Update: have also installed Vivaldi on my mobile and really liking the faster, crash-free, performance!

FYI it's based on Chromium, the open source software that the Chrome browser is built on .. meaning a lot of the ways it looks and functions are very similar to Chrome.
