GolfSpy_APH
Pretty sure this has been discussed before, but with the new releases maybe opinions have changed. Just for fun, if you had to only pick one brand to play for the this season - top to bottom (clubs only). What brand would that be? PING? COBRA? TaylorMade? Callaway? Mizuno? Titleist? PXG? DTC brands? - if you want to have some more fun, build the bag and show it to us! Coulter
I just commented on another thread how since buying sub70 699 pro irons I have had to stop myself from buying an entire sub70 set up lol so absolutely Sub70 for me! Shapotomous, Rob Person, GolfSpy_APH and 1 other 4 Quote I have a cobra rad speed driver, cobra fly z 3 and 5 wood, taylormade m1 irons (5-PW), Top Flite Gamer wedges (52,56,60), and odyssey white ice putter. When I’m playing to keep score I typically play the Maxfli Tour X. When just getting a round in with friends or scrambling I play whatever I might find on the course or might find at the bottom of my bag.
Yogi B
Any of the big brands would make for a solid bag. Surely Titleist and ping would have to be top of the tree. What would make my decision would be wedges and putters. I love cobra woods, I have no opinion on their irons, but don't think I'd go out of my way to spend my money on their wedges or putters. Shapotomous
I would go with Ping because i love my current G410 LST Driver and Heppler Fetch putter. I will fill in with i530 irons 5-W and 49, 53 & 57 Glide wedges. I have hit G430 3w and 7w and liked the ball flight so they are in too. I havent tried any of their hybrids (or anyone elses either) but for variety i think i could live with a G425 4 hybrid. Put them all in a Hoofer bag and i will be good to go. PrismFlopper
If went off looks alone id have to say mizuno but with my experience of playing Cobra irons and from trying out the drivers and woods, i would have to stick to Cobra. Putter and wedges might be an issue but i think i could work around it. Rob Person and Shapotomous 2 Quote Been playing for about 2 years in total. Winter breaks and a 6month period when I got sick. Starting to feel like myself again and recently played a “okay” round. cnosil
PING? - Strong top to bottom, just not a fan of their irons. probably couldn't actually game the blueprints. COBRA? - definite no; just never got along with them. Mizuno? - Just not for me; not a fan of irons and generally pretty weak elsewhere. DTC brands? I like clubs from different DTC brands but their strength is irons and I can't think of a single brand I would consider from top to bottom. PXG? - This would be a possibility. I could probably find something from top to bottom from their lineup. Titleist? - I think this is the easy choice. Obviously great clubs from driver through putter and lots of options. Seem to be the best hybrids for me. Callaway? - Like Titleist, great options from top to bottom. I am sure I could build a bag with their clubs.
