The suspense keeps on building.... Best of luck to those that advance.

Based on a really rough estimate of the relationship between raw score and the stableford score of how people performed in Week 1 and looking at the raw results for week 2 .... I think I have an idea of who is going through

My estimated stableford score cutline is 37pts

If true, I believe I'm am right outside the Top 10

Maybe I'm wrong and I made it through.

Regardless, it's been a great season and a couple really fun tournaments. It's my first year here on the forum and it's been fantastic. Thank you all for establishing such a wonderful and welcoming community.

Good luck to all as we await with eager anticipation for the official scores to get posted

OK, before the drum roll for week 2 results and who made it to the final week for the MGS year end Stapleford tournament, let me take a chance to fix my spreadsheet error from week one.

Here are the results from week one:

image.png.2aa844cfe9a32bb513a1a9ede28fc819.png

I tracked down my spreadsheet error and it was a misplaced "1" on Mr. Mushball's score that prevented him from having his course handicap accurately applied.  Sorry about that!

With that corrected, here are the results for the week two:

image.png.96491bf0533c5220f5798e2ca7ccad62.png

In a very tight contest, the cut line was established at the top ten (and ties) moves forward.   As you can see, the cut line was at 35 points which dragged in three additional people above the cut line which will give us 13 going into the final week of the competition.  The next four golfers who missed advancing were two or less points from making the cut.

There was some impressive golf!  If round 2 is any indication, the championship will come down to a few strokes, one or two points or a tie breaker.  As a reminder, the first tie breaker will be most net birdies, then most net eagles and finally (and let's hope it doesn't come down to this) a flip of a coin!

Good luck to all who made it to the championship round!  I look forward to seeing all your scores.

I may have peaked too early. I shot a PB last week and ended up at the top of the list. Way beyond my expectations. I was just happy to be playing a second week. Now I am in for the third and final week. I never expected to get this far. However I finish this has been a great season.  Good luck to everyone.
