Callaway European Tour Van

Callaway Christmas Cheer at Goodwood. I had to visit the Tour Van for an extra hour Huge and awesome. Extremely professional guys working there. Great stories about how they made the truck. Worked to find solutions to all kinds of problems. Like getting the shafts to stay in place and not get tangled.

 

We did the grip challenge. Same rules as the pros in the videos. I came second with 38.1. 1.place won a set of custom wedges..........

I didn't win.......came second. No wedges for me.

 

This is the grip challenge. We did it exactly like the pros. The even filmed us the same way Two cameras.

Do they make you wear those silly gloves when you do it? And do you have to cut the grip off? If you only put a grip on a new shaft, it shouldn't take more than 15 seconds if you've ever put a grip on before.

You have to wear the gloves and they've got the stickiest tape I've ever used. The glue is incredibly strong.

 

And you should consider the pressure of having 20 people watching you and being filmed by Callaway from two different angles

Yeah, I can see the delays if using the gloves. I'd probably try dipping my finger tips in the basin and wetting them so the tape wouldn't stick to much to the gloves. Don't understand why they make you use the gloves though lol. Seems like overkill to me for tearing tape.
