How much difference in feel is there between colors? I can recall the white and black LINK being said to be firmer or softer than each other.

Would love to hear all the testers thoughts on the shaft and how you feel it performs in the putter?

Love the ferrells
I can't wait to get started on my other irons. Just need to set aside a bit more time as they will take more time to do and will also get new grips.

As interesting as it sounds, 90 bucks to give it a shot just to find out that it doesn't work for you seems like a terrible idea. Would I try it? Absolutely. Would I want to pay for it just to find out it isn't for me? Questionable. Maybe MGS Admins have this one in the works to test...Maybe. Or could be a next season thing? @GolfSpy_APH may be on that, but I would presume we wouldn't know until that Testers Wanted post came out...Hahaha
If it was a thing it wouldn't be till next season. This season is basically completed for our schedule.
I will confirm I have not reached out to them though. -

Are there any modern game improvement irons that look more traditional in terms of thickness of top line and offset? For reference I have played in the past few years since I've put away my old blades and Taylormade 300 Forged (excellent OG irons, BTW):
Callaway XR16 Pro
Ping G400
Mizuno 923 Hot Metal.
I currently have in my bag a set of Maltby TE Forged and have one of their TE+Forged and TS3 in 7 iron head that I've shafted and tested. All of these are great irons also.
I am just curious if the big names have made anything with a thinner top line and with smaller offsets than what I've listed from the big names above.
Lots!
To be honest it is a little bit too long to list but basically most companies have gone in a more simple or traditional look as that has been a trend.

I have been playing with a new LAB Mezz 1 for several weeks now. I'm noticing that any 20 foot putt, is difficult to lag it close. Anyone else having any issues? Within 10 feet, I'm very accurate. This is also my first center shaft putter. Anyone have any thoughts on their LAB putters?
Lag putts I think are more about greens and just speed. I did find a bit of time getting to feel for lag putts with my Mezz but it came together pretty quick.
They have a nice pop on the sweet spot and are a bit more dead left and right of center. Either way I just did a lot more practice and it ended up not being an issue.

Do you think the price of a round of golf has gotten to pricey?
Where I live - Yes. Without question.
However my situation is unique and the country I live in everything is expensive. I don't have much reference anymore to how much things are in the US and such, but I think there are various values for different courses. There are bound to be cheaper options, maybe conditions are as nice however it is all relative. Naturally prices of everything surrounding the maintenance and running of a course has gone up and they still need to make money in order to survive so if prices go up as well that makes sense.- JCole, Josh Parker, GaDawg and 4 others

The world of premium golf shafts is extensive and complicated. As the emphasis on proper fittings in golf has grown, so has the arrival of more competitors. One such company is Autoflex.
Who Is Autoflex?
Established in 2009 in Korea, Autoflex now is available in more than 40 countries. They promote their Korea Hidden Technology made by Dumina Designs which includes their patented combination of high-quality carbon fiber and additional proprietary materials to create a lightweight shaft with less distortion.
Autoflex bucks the concept of traditional flexes and goes with a system that is more based on driver clubhead speed with six different shafts to match a golfer's swing.
Please welcome and congratulate our testers!

Coming off an impressive performance in the Best Driver of 2024 testing with MyGolfSpy, we had to get these drivers into the hands of our member testing community.
The Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond took home second place in the overall standings, and the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke D managed third place, being awarded Best for Distance.
Callaway is no stranger to performing well in Most Wanted testing, but this year's performance is especially impressive, considering a total of 37 drivers were part of the testing, the most ever in Most Wanted history.
About the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Series:
The second generation of Paradym added a new Ai-optimized face, which Callaway calls micro deflections, aiding downrange accuracy. The Carbon Chassis is also 15% lighter than the original, helping Callaway redistribute weight into other areas, thus making the series more forgiving.
The Paradym Ai Smoke series is also the first in several generations not to include Jailbreak.
There are three core models in the Paradym Ai Smoke family: Max, Max D, and Triple Diamond.
Max is the standard model and offers the most adjustability with a sliding weight at the back and an adjustable hosel.
Max D is a draw bias driver with maximum forgiveness. It lacks movable weights but is adjustable through the Callaway Optifit hosel.
Triple Diamond is the low spinning option, featuring adjustable front and back weights for spin optimization. It also includes a smaller profile for those who prefer that in a driver head.
Please welcome and congratulate our testers!

@TylorJudd - Ai Smoke Triple Diamond

So my pool app isn’t updating. When I go look at it, it is pulling up next weeks tournament already. Any ideas? I thought it was my internet but it’s not.
It's there - drop down and go the last week in the weekly scoring or standings.

Buckle up buckaroos, we have some changes to the format. Here are the pertinent details:
Start Date: 4-22-24
End Date: 10-6-24
The season will run 24 weeks for season 3, rather than a full calendar year, unlike season 2.
End of Season Tournament: 10-14-24 through 11-3-24
For the offseason, we will still have a weekly leaderboard for those that live in year-round golfing climates, but the main competition for next off season will be a SIM league we are developing that will run through the winter months. Details to come.
Format Change:
We are instituting a Flight System, and will breakdown as follows:
Flight I - + to 5
Flight II - 6 to 10
Flight III - 11 to 15
Flight IV - 16 to 20
Flight V - 21 to 25
Flight VI - 26+
How are the flights determined?
To avoid any confusion regarding course handicaps or allegations of sandbaggery, with each round posted we will be asking for the following information:
- Member Name
- Course Name
- Gross Score
- Course Slope
- Course Rating
- # of Actual Eagles or Birdies
- Longest Drive Distance
The gross score, slope, and rating will be added to a spread sheet each week and after week 5, each participant that submitted enough rounds will be given their VCT handicap and assigned to one of the flights above. Once the flights have been established, a scoring system will be used to give points to each member based on where their best score places them within their flight for the week. Also, there is a wrinkle I have decided to add: We will have in season Promotion and Relegation within the flights. Each golfer gets 2 passes, where they exceed their handicap i.e. a Flight III golfer shoots a PB 74, without consequence. After the 2 passes are used, a PB round of 74 would earn them a promotion to Flight II. Conversely, there will be 2 passes for blow-up rounds, after which a golfer will be relegated to a lower flight, i.e a Flight II golfer posts an 89, after using their 2 passes they would be relegated to Flight III. A fascinating sidebar to this will be watching members rise through the flights, as their games improve over the course of a season, so there will be a trophy room badge given in the EOS awards for the highest riser. There will also be weekly badges given in each flight for top finisher, # of actual birdies or better, and longest drive. However, we have done away with bonus points for the birdie or long drives. The points for the season will be based solely on finishing order within each flight. A points standings will be made available with the flight results each week.
Caveat: We are still working with the developer on the getting the submission form the way we want it, so the first couple weeks may look similar to last season. I would ask that each score that is posted contain the course slope and rating. I will also accept combined 9 hole scores, as long as each nine has slope and course rating included.
Lastly, welcome back! Let's make this the best season yet!!!!
Cant wait to get started!

I know you mean Vokey not Volkey... But if it does say Volkey there may be other things at play
I would exchange it at the store as you bought it there and they would be the warranty provider vs calling Titleist.

Can someone give me a definition of a profile photo?
Recently when I joined I tried to familiarize myself with the site as much as possible and to follow the basic requirements. One of them being posting a profile photo.
For me it meant a picture of myself because I don’t see the point of showing a picture of my dog or of a monkey found on the internet and I see no difference in uploading a picture of the letter C resembling the automatic showing for someone who doesn’t upload a profile photo.
Definition is a non stock photo that is given when an account is created.
That's the basic of what we look for. Can be of whatever a user wants and related to. Whether that is of them, their golf bag, pet or whatever else. A profile photo helps show a bit of personality. It also for staff shows that a user has the ability to upload photos which is critical to reviews without us having to go through all their posts to see if they have done such.

24 minutes ago, Jonboy said:When looking for testers do you have an age range? Or is handicap or just a combination of several things. I noticed you don't ask how long the they have been playing.
Last year we had testers from age 13 to in their 80s.
In the end it's a combination of a lot and changes test to test. Handicap is usually a good or ish indicator of how long someone has been playing.
