Just a reminder that not only did Titleist come out with an official response, but their original video from back in March can still be seen here:

Do we know if they rent push-carts? Not sure I actually want to carry my bag for 18-36 holes a day
I'll bring my own if I end up driving up, but ... honestly love the idea of a group caddie, too - especially if they'll keep giving @Ben Joest and @GolfSpy_BNG wrong distances. If they won't give me strokes, I'll have to collect them the old fashioned way: cheating.

Thanks fellas. I had plans to play out in Ojai, but my wife and daughter got sick. They are well but it forced a change in plans to a dawn patrol 9 at the local instead. First out with random pairing (as it turns out another loon that loves early rounds). Good company for birthday golf.
I promise I'm happier than I appear in the photo. I'm often so focused on framing the picture I forget to smile.
Happy Birthday, buddy! Here's to another year of playing together! Grateful we got to meet up this year!

Looks like the Maxfli Tour deals are over. Seems they have jumped to 109 for 4 doz. I wonder if that was because of the up coming USGA/RA decision on ball roll backs? Trying to capitalize on potential ball grab?
What's crazy is that even at that price, it's still (doing the maths in my head with tongue sticking out) $27.50/dozen, which is a steal for those balls.
YMMV, of course, but ... crazy good deal.

Hey y'all!
I have some exciting news. Hopefully I'm not letting the cat out of the bag too prematurely.. but here goes.
I've recently been communicating with a YouTube golf personality. As we all know, Maltby does not participate in any YouTube send-outs for review. It's just not something they're interested in. As far as the DTC surface world is concerned, there are 5 or so brands that remain in circulation and are unfortunately more recognized than the godfather of DTC which really is Maltby.
I've offered to send him a set of KE4 MAX irons to showcase on his channel and he's accepted and is very excited to get his hands on some Maltby gear. He'll be reviewing and sending them back once finished. I'm hoping that he'll be impressed enough, and that the reactions are positive and plentiful enough to then purchase a full set and continue the series with one of the forged offerings.
I'm sending out the set tomorrow. It'll take a few days to get to FL where he lives and then hopefully in the next few weeks, we'll finally be seeing a full review of the clubs.
As I receive more info I'll be sure to share what I can.
Stay tuned!
Holy hell! That's so cool! Cannot wait to see whoever it is test these out!

Nice set up! I have an old osmo gimbal.
I don't have a drone (yet), but I'm also grabbing an expandable selfie-stick to do drone-esque shots where I can raise it from ground-level to 15-ish feet up, and it'll mimic the feel a little bit. Getting more and more excited to try it out. Plus: my kids run around constantly and as good as the iPhone can be, this trounces it in every way (sensor size alone is the biggest win there, but the mechanical gimbal makes a HUGE difference, especially in low-light (indoors)). Kid videos gonna look hella pimp (said no one, ever).

Thanks to an INCREDIBLY generous aunty and gramma (who, even though I'm only married into their family, insist on giving me xmas/bday presents each year), I've decided to take the plunge and buy a camera/gimbal combo that is CRAZY-well-reviewed (check out YouTube for some stunning stuff shot on this bad-boy). I've so enjoyed going out with my "big" camera, but haven't really been shooting much video, and thought this was the perfect little setup to start getting some great-looking footage with quality sound (I bought the package with the built-in mic receiver and wireless mic, so I can wear it and vlog while playing/walking).
It doesn't ship until 12/10, but I'll be sure to be posting some more (too many?) videos shortly after getting it.
It has auto-tracking, so I can actually set it up on a tripod and just walk around and it'll track me while I'm talking/moving, which I can see being ideal for a putting scenario where you're moving around the green, and because the mic is wireless and auto-connects, I don't have to be up close to it in order of you to hear me.
I'm super, super excited to see what this thing can do!

Sounds like you just need to adopt a Texas wedge going forward....
Unfortunately, I couldn't pull the trigger this time around - manifesting a similar promotion down the road when I'm more in the market for a putter.
It's tough, when there are other non-golf-related items to buy for other people, to see a sale that good and not be able to take advantage
That being said, I would wager they'll do this yearly from now on - enough people know about them and have seen the results, that doing a once-a-year sale is only going to help get people on board.
I cannot wait to see what else the company has in store - new models, finishes, etc. Such a cool thing to see it growing the way it is!

But it's important to remember that different golfers have different tastes in gear, so what works for one may not work for another. Everyone has a different way of putting, so it takes time and effort to find the right putter for you. Before buying an L.A.B. putter, you should always try a few different ones to see how they feel and how well they work for your game.
Just an FYI - if you quote someone and then add in a link to spam, you will be banned immediately, even if your comment was legit. We're not playing around. Bye bye.

So incredibly grateful for this community. It's late, I'm full (of food and good bourbon), and feeling very blessed - but specifically wanted to thank you all for an incredible year. You've made every day a little easier, happier and helped remind me of how lucky I am to be part of such an awesome community.
Here's to an amazing Holiday season and can't wait to see what 2024 brings for you all individually and to us as a forum.
Thankful for you all.

For those of you looking to try out some VERY expensive balls that are at least a little LESS expensive, I present to you:
https://lagolf.com/pages/upgrade-your-gameBuy a dozen, get a dozen free. Or, buy a putter and get a hat and balls for free. Buying balls is decidedly cheaper
Happy Shopping!

Video taken and sent. Now to figure out if it's a Mezz Max or DF2.1.
What is a benefit of anything but the standard shaft? I'd either go standard, or at most ACCRA upgrade. But I just don't know if there are any benefits for the upgraded shafts.
I have the Accra - I could have gone full-tilt-boogie on the shafts, but felt like the most I personally would splurge for would be the $100 upgrade to Accra. After speaking with the fitter, and his commenting on all the shafts, the Accra felt like the best bet. Considerably better feel than the standard steel (per him and Sam, for that matter), not a huge upcharge.
That being said, Sam has mentioned a couple times that there's a new shaft in their matrix that is INSANELY good, but it's a hefty upgrade (the TPT, $399 upcharge) - but his impression was that it's quite simple worth it if you want THE best. But (shrug) - I really love the feel of the Accra.

Anyone having issues playing this morning
I had a weird thing happen last night - I had tied the game with an eagle, and when we went to the "shootout", I got a pop-up message and then nothing would load. It was late enough I just put the phone away and went to sleep, but the same thing happened once this morning, so I x'd out of the game and re-opened, and then was able to play a round. Must be some server issues on their end.

I don't suppose anyone has come across Pro V1s on Black Friday deals? I have a couple people that have everything to buy for and you can't go wrong with Pro V1s.
Two dozen for $99, plus a pretty slick box - not a HUGE deal, but a deal nonetheless

There are 3 colors on this deal - Black, White, Gray. I may have to give these a go and hope the size I pick works.
How did these size compared to other shoes you have? I pretty much only know ASICS' sizing these days.
I've had the '21 Code Chaos for two+ years now - incredible shoes. Sizing for most Adidas are pretty spot-on for me - 12.5 in my case, and it's roughly the same across multiple shoes. Every so often shoes will run larger/smaller - they're usually noted somewhere in the reviews (these run slightly larger, etc.). However, take a look here: https://www.adidas.com/sa/en/size-chart-men-shoes.html - should give you a good idea of what you should order.
This is VERY tempting - my '21s are still going strong, so no need to upgrade, but that price is seriously awesome. If I didn't promise myself I'd go spiked on my next shoes, this would be a done deal
Hope that helps!
Planned 2030 Golf Ball Rollback

I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere in the 65 other pages here, lol, but if they're so concerned with distance as an issue, keep the ball exactly the same and then force players to use a small tee. Way lower launch, way shorter drives. Problem solved, and the tees can be regulated way easier than the ball can.
Part of this feels like they're trying to solve a problem that no one else is asking for a solution to.
