We were asked to wait and do a separate review. **** After testing the Galway Bay rain suit and seeing the quality, I decided to purchase the gloves as well ($39). Having never owning a pair of rain gloves before, I wasn't sure what to expect. My first thoughts were that these would be too hot to wear in Florida during the summertime. (wrong) And, that they would be too thick for my liking. (wrong again). Much like the rain suit the quality and comfort of the gloves are incredibly good. I have not had the opportunity to actually play using these due to the fact that we are in a serious drought in central Florida currently. I have wet them and chipped in the back yard. I was certainly not disappointed. I have seen other rain gloves for sale around the same price that when I picked them up and felt them, I immediately put them, back in near disgust. I have never been a clothes snob in my life but, I will say sign me up for the Galway Bay. The water resistance and breathability is hard to believe. I bet they would be nice as a winter glove as well. I will post from a durability standpoint going forward as well. 9.999/10 - nothing is perfect! mikeanthony
Callaway’s current x2 trade-in program closed the deal for me … after close to 2 years with the Forged Tec OL experiment, opted to go back to VL irons. Will be trading in the Cobras & my G410 driver and cannot believe the trade-in value I rcvd. Too good of a deal to pass up Placed an order just this morning for their Apex Pros in 5-6i and Apex CB 7-pw … all-in-all, once trade-in value is rcvd, $547 total for a new set of Callaway irons. DarrenF
I may be kicking myself shortly. I recently purchased a Bushnell Tour V6 rangefinder and it is fantastic. No problems, works great. Fast forward to last week. Played with a friend who was using his Garmin Approach S70 watch. The yardages he was getting were certainly close enough to the rangefinder to justify using the GPS watch, for yardage and all of its other functions. Naturally, I ordered one. (Insert eyeroll here). Long story short, I may be offering a good deal on a lightly used rangefinder. LOL Wib081, MattF, bama no 1 and 6 others 6 2 1 Quote Love to golf, love to camp. Being able to look down and get yardages to the back, middle, and front of the green is so convenient, well worth the cost imo. BUT... you don't get an exact yardage to the flag, that's where a rangefinder comes in handy. When you're about to hit your approach shot, it's nice to get an exact yardage rather than just front, mid and back of the green. cksurfdude, TJ Hall, ejgaudette and 5 others 7 1 Quote Driver: TaylorMade M5 / Callaway Epic Sub-Zero / Callaway Epic Flash 3W: Adams Tight Lies Titanium 13.5º (2015) 5W: Adams Tight Lies 19º (2014) Irons: Adams CB1 4 - GW / Adams CMB 4 - GW / Adams CB2 5 - GW Hybrid: Adams V4 4 iron Wedges: Cleveland RTX Zipcore 56º / Burke Golf TF01 60º Putter(s): Odyssey Ai-ONE 2-Ball® / Ping Candence TR Tomcat C
Popular Post ChiefMikeOfficer
The stack of golf balls continues to grow... this time bought 2 dozen of TaylorMade's limited release TP5x pix balls, because I couldn't resist the Adirondack chair design. Growing up, our family had a cabin in the Adirondack foothills (only about a 30 min drive from home), so spent a ton of time up there in the summers, and these chairs were everywhere. Interesting to see that design on an NC-themed ball instead of NY, but apparently TM thinks it's a Pinehurst symbol too (I always thought they were more into rocking chairs than Adirondacks at Pinehurst, but either way, love the design, so 2 dozen are on the way). So yes if it's gonna rain i am gonna work or fish or sleep. Now if I am out and get caught In rain, I will finish round, and a little light drizzle is fine, but anything more and I am gone.
