Not terrible but my spin numbers were a little high. They didn't have any different shafts or lofts other than a single used trade in. So I looked at a few others and settled on this one. I think I hit it really well cause it's the same shaft in my gamer. Best part is it was super cheap. Got it for 190. So my travel bag is finally complete. Solid setup for sure. I also went into the club pro shop to see how many credits I had available. Turns out I had a lot. So using girl math these two were free Srixon 5 wood. I've never gamed a 5er so gonna give it a whirl. And new shoes Never tired a travis Matthew anything before but these were comfortable and their selection was low. But had nothing else I needed to spend that credit on. Bag is already for my round at a new course tomorrow. Aside from the country clubs near by I've hit every course in the 3 counties nearest me. I don't usually splurge like this but I guess today was a real treat yourself kinda day. Looks like you're good to go! Popular Post IndyBonzo
My summer romance with a technologically advanced putter, like most summer romances, flamed out when the novelty wore off, performance became less and less frequent, and the frustration built to a breaking point. Ha. Yeah, distance control on fast and undulating greens was a huge problem. And I learned I do not handle lighter putters well. I have been flirting again with several blades, all similar looking Newport/Anser designs with a plumber’s neck. I even dragged this haggard old lady onto the course with me today and she performed well. That settled it I am a blade man (For now?) The last couple days I went to the local shop and hit all the blades - LAB, Bettinardi, Scotty, Evenroll, Wilson, Ping, TM, Odyssey, Cleveland, etc. (I know one should not hit a lady, but this is different.) MGS blasphemy alert: I am pretty certain that the tech in all of these top-line blade putters renders them equal for me. Differences in performance seemed to boil down to personal preference for a soft face. I found great results with the MGS #1 Evenroll blade. And with Ping, and Odyssey, and Cleveland, etc. Conclusion? Spending a fortune is unlikely to make a difference in my putting right now. Long-winded me got lucky and scored a brand new Cleveland Frontline Elite 1.0 with the All-In graphite shaft on the Bay for $100 under retail. MGS reviewers raved about its HB Soft cousin in the ‘24 blade test, and I like the All-In graphite shaft, so … check! If she cannot outperform the Odyssey Metal-X, then I will give the Old Dame Odyssey a facelift and put her semi-permanently back at my side, while hoping to recoup my investment in the new girl from Cleveland. We're having a tiff right now while I have a fling with my A.I 2-ball, but I'm not sure how long that will last as I keep reminiscing about that Ping. My favorite club is the King Tec 5H with an 80g MMT shaft... it's almost tempting to swap the head even though the shaft is a little short. That shaft is wicked. I’m gaming the 80g MMT shafts in my new 699 v2s and couldn’t be happier with them. Great match for my swing! He did a full setup, breakdown, and demo for me. He was. Only selling this because he was one of the first people to buy alphard's new all in one unit (Cybercart). It's seen a lot of use but is in great working order. Bonus, the Tether follow system I thought looked kind of wonky is actually pretty amazing. It's a really good piece of tech that works exceptionally well. Of course, I had to try it out when I got home. So here you go. How long is the tether cord? I'm hoping it's long enough that the cart is not hitting your heels while you are walking. Wib081, cksurfdude, Rob Person and 1 other 4 Quote M6 clubs in the bag and a GARMIN Fenix 7 on the wrist! Maybe I’m still too new to have developed that skill? ... Such a good point. It is usually experience with clubs that shape our opinions. Taking irons as an example. I play a straight ball to soft draw and offset will not only produce slightly more draw tendencies but the look creates the illusion it will hook a lot. A thick top line, wider sole and a larger club head tells me the club will launch higher with less spin and be a little more difficult to control on anything less than full shots. A smaller club head also gets through this rough easier. A thin top line is almost always accompanied by a thinner sole so not only does it get through the ground better, it has a higher CG and will produce a lower more controllable trajectory. ... So yea, it is a developed "skill" that you learn through personal experience. William P, Rob Person, cksurfdude and 1 other 4 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... I don't know if it's free returns with Vice, will check their website and see what my friend wants to do... Update 2: (a) order just shipped a full week later (but acknowledging that includes the US holiday weekend); and (b) three separate email requests for a return label have not been answered. Instead I received an email with two attachments: 1. PDF invoice which seems unnecessary since I got an email confirmation after the order was entered; and 2. a FIVE page T&C document. Which seems very much totally completely unnecessary. No, didn't read it. I mention this because in the news recently was a story about an unfortunate man who died from food poisoning .. at a restaurant owned by a Disney affiliate. The family was suing .. but Disney filled for a dismissal based on - get this - the man, several years earlier, had signed up for a free one month trial of Disney+. Within that Disney T&C that he (like all of us) accepted without looking at or reviewing was "Hold Harmless" language protecting Disney and all of its affiliates and subsidiaries. Forever. Well after that blew up in their faces they withdrew the motion for dismissal. Anyway, back to Vice. What legalese could possibly included in a T&C fur golf balls??? Well these better be mega super exceptional outstanding or it may be my one *and only* order from them. Hers a link to a copy of their T&C that I received if you're curious... https://drive.google.com/file/d/1n12SngP9_-H5rp8WhlYLddXvK8HjHwZI/view?usp=drivesdk (K today's grumpy old man rant over.)
