PMookie
Can you give us more details (be great if there was a YouTube or internet link). I'm working on an exercise program over the off season. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy It's not a set of exercises for strength, it's sequencing the lower body for the swing. I have four videos, but I'm not allowed to share them as they will be going National with all of this next year. It involves the use of the knees and hips very differently than what modern golf teachers teach. For instance, watch ANY pro swing from a down-the-line view. You will see, for a right handed golfer, their left knee go out toward the ball on the backswing.... This is not the case with what I'm learning. Jmikecpa
I listened everyday almost from the beginning during my 1 plus hour drive in. I enjoyed them quite a bit for many years. Then somewhere during the past 5 years or so I felt the show changed. They seemed to rehash the same "hot" topic all morning instead of several different topics. Then the station they were on here went to local programming for the morning drive and I lost touch of the show. No big loss at that point. Last year they were doing a live broadcast from right outside our hotel when I was in Orlando. I went over and saw the final 20 minutes or so. Afterward Golic took pictures with anyone that asked signed autographs and just chatted with everyone for about 20 minutes or so. Greeny made a beeline for the limo. Granted he did stop for quck pics with a few and did take a moment to chat with a elderly woman who wanted to tell him her life story. Ha. But in genral he was in a hurry to leave. Probably had a Tee Time at Bay Hill. Ha They were an institution that's for sure. Greeny was my celeb in an ESPN golf outing several years ago and could not have been more gracious. He must have gotten better over the last few years because I would never have pegged him as breaking 90 after I played with him. STUDque
I've dealt with the swaying some. It's a PITA problem that I dealt with for a while before I was chatting with one of the pros at my club and he said "oh that's an easy one, just swing with your feet together." Any time I feel it creeping into my swing, I hit a few balls on the range with my feet together. Really helps you feel true center. Then it's easier to remain stable in the full swing. If it happens on the course, a few practice swings like that in the pre-shot should do the trick. It's a quick drill that helps you do all the things Kieldog is speaking of while only focusing on a single point. He must have gotten better over the last few years because I would never have pegged him as breaking 90 after I played with him. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, Greeny wasn't really big timing anybody or being rude. he did stop and chat to the lady and a couple others as I mentioned, it just seemed like he had maybe somewhere to go, and Golic was hanging around waiting for the buffet to open...(cheap shot I know, he actually looks really good now days) I think Greeny has worked hard on his game from what I've heard him talk about, I've obviously never seen him play, but gathered he was around a 15 or so. maybe that was a generous assumption. Must have been cool to play with him, i bet he was a very enjoyable playing partner. ole gray
Packing up for the week trip to warmer weather. My teacher did a complete evaluation of my game indoors yesterday.According to his read outs I should be hitting it very straight. Why is it that I hit the best indoors at a net with a launch monitor?.When I get on a real course my lesson material usually goes bad.But the motion will feel exactly like my lessons when I play I'm almost thinking now that winter might be a bad time for golf lessons indoors. If you can't see how the ball is flying than how can I trust what a launch monitor says. This is why I hate to take lessons before my yearly vacation. The golf isn't cheap and if i do hit poorly it makes the hit on the wallet even worse When we get on the course especially on a really nice resort course we sometimes expect too much. We want to play like a pro instead of relax like a vacationer. Hell let ya hair down, sip a beverage or two and relax. If you head out expecting too much you'll usually receive a let down.
