So when I went for my shaft fitting last weekend I took a co-worker to get a driver fitting. He ended up getting an Epic in a different shaft. I tried his today on the range and holy hell, it's WAY louder than mine. Do drivers lose their pop after a while? Being a surfer/skateboarder this happens to boards as they're surfed and skated, does it happen to titanium?

That chili cook-off sounds a lot like my (sadly lamented) Ribfest times (not as a judge). I swear I wouldn't lose that "baby bump" or the associated maladies for days, but I returned, year after year.

The eating season is upon us and those who can stick through a diet are truly champions of the no eating club.   With Thanksgiving next week and Christmas right on it's heels, there will be boo coo calories consumed.  Get ready to throw on them overalls and hunker down like a breeding sow in a slop bucket consumption contest....

I think that's a theory/myth in golf. Not sure I've seen studies either way. For all intents and purposes, they don't degrade like other equipment.

I worked in Bristol CT for 35 years. Watched ESPN grow thru the years. Got a number of tours thru the facility and met some of the Talent. Some of the “Talent” are really nice people others not so much. Never met Greeny but did meet Mike Golic, genuine guy.

I was curious so I took a credit card to see if the face still has the bulge in the face and it does. It was really weird that it made such a different sound but I think my Epic head is ok

I know when I hit my epic in the nuts because it makes a "tinny" sound vs that familiar high-pitched titanium sound that drivers have been making since I can remember. It was just weird to hear my buddy's epic make a higher-pitched and much louder sound, don't think my own driver has ever made my ears ring.

I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination but I can tell you in my case the pop or ping (no pun intended - I'm hitting a G20) is relative to the ball. When I hit a pro v. I get the a loud ping when I hit it on center. An entirely different sound if I hit it off the toe or heel. When I use a super soft I get more of a thud. I'm so attuned to pro v ping that I can tell by the sound if I hit it well or not.

Started work on a complete overhaul of my lower body action in my swing... My coach is really on to something!!!! Very early results are very good. Doing drills at home, inside, no ball, more than any with a ball. Great stuff!!!

I listened everyday almost from the beginning during my 1 plus hour drive in. I enjoyed them quite a bit for many years. Then somewhere during the past 5 years or so I felt the show changed. They seemed to rehash the same "hot" topic all morning instead of several different topics.

 

Then the station they were on here went to local programming for the morning drive and I lost touch of the show. No big loss at that point.

 

Last year they were doing a live broadcast from right outside our hotel when I was in Orlando. I went over and saw the final 20 minutes or so.

 

Afterward Golic took pictures with anyone that asked signed autographs and just chatted with everyone for about 20 minutes or so.

 

Greeny made a beeline for the limo. Granted he did stop for quck pics with a few and did take a moment to chat with a elderly woman who wanted to tell him her life story. Ha. But in genral he was in a hurry to leave. Probably had a Tee Time at Bay Hill. Ha

 

They were an institution that's for sure.
