My dog torn hers and we had to go through the surgery for her, and now it looks like she might have torn her meniscus. Being on the bigger side, still only 45 lbs., for this injury it sounded like recovery was never going to be 100% for her. Hope you get better news. Popular Post silver & black
Not really a problem, but this is a good place to put this, I guess. I just put my other "original" dog down this evening. I put my other buddy down in November. I had this one for 14.5 years. He was very tired and it was time. It feels so strange not to have him here. I adopted Moose (American Bulldog) a few days after putting the first one down. This is the first time I've ever had just one dog. My other two got me through a bad divorce and some other not so cool situations over the last 7.5 years. It's amazing how attached you become... and how much you love them. Moose and I will journey on together, and see what the future holds! Chip Strokes, THEZIPR23, MaxEntropy and 14 others

We had a rescue mutt and decided to hedge our loss and picked up another rescue mutt when she was 7. We figured when we lost Casey, Buddy would be around to console us and we him for at least another 7 years. After it was Casey's time to lay to rest, Buddy had developed a brain tumor and we layed him to rest only 2 months later. It was a devastating time for all of us so I understand your pain and loss. My son rescued Giz, a Pit Mix that turned out to be a pure bred Stafford Terrier a year later and although we still miss Casey and Buddy, Giz has become a wonderful addition to the family. We are pretty good about verifying ticks when we get back inside from being out though, he had 1 a few months back but wasn’t even in which is odd If you aren’t good at remembering get the Soresto collar it works well and lasts 8 months. I switched because my one dog would get a slight reaction to it, but that isn’t normal. 15 hours ago, Lacassem said: Yea we get them vaccinated but sounds like it doesn’t automatically protect? pulledabill
My game was finally starting to show some promise after 3 years of injuries. Carpal tunnel surgery and cracked thumb 2018/2019, shoulder injury late in 2019, and wrist injury late 2020 and in to 2021. Handicap went from 6ish up to over 10 and just fell back to single digits on the last update when a buddy wanted to go over and ride our quads in the sand. "Sure, sounds fun". Fifteen minutes in to a 2 day trip, I missed a drop off in the early morning sun and did a nose dive jamming my right hand and handlebar in to my rib cage. OUCH !! *&^$!!! Xrays showed no fractures but the doc believes there probably is a light fracture that isn't showing up. If you never had a fractured or bruised rib cage, you are missing something special. This is probably my 4th or 5th time over the years from riding or playing ball. Not sure when I will be playing again. My goal is August 13th as I just dropped some $$$ on a tourny, but I have my doubts from past rib damage. I will consider myself lucky as I thought the outcome was going to be much worse when I was mid-air. Her step-brother has been battling cancer for a year and he’s lost the battle…in hospice care now and hours/days left. Racing back to hopefully say goodbye before we can’t.
