Weather in your neck of the woods?

I live on the dry side of WA... in the desert.  Think Burns, OR, but we have the Columbia and Snake Rivers.  I know Medford.  We get less rain than you do, about 7 inches a year. We have 3.3 inches so far this year; slightly above normal.  We probably need the rain, but living in a desert I don't feel like I HAVE to play in rain.  I'll wait it out.

Played today.  A little drizzle to start, then sunny but 25 mph wind.  More drizzle tomorrow.

That's my read on poor weather....I'm retired, I don't have to play in foul weather 🙂

I'm retired too, but my wife still works.  I can go out to play whenever I want, but her playing days are limited.  It has to be pretty bad to us not to play on one of those days!

Weekend turned out fantastic few days of 60s and 70s. This week is up and down. Will try to play Thursday but have a trip planned. Rest of the week here is truly spring 2 chances of rain, one day in the 40s, two in the 50s, two in the sixties and two in the 70s.

Supposed to be 70° here today, gonna be going out for a round. The only problem is, on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, we are supposed to get 16-25 inches of snow. I think my phone is lying, but on the off chance it isn't, my new adresss will be, MN State Mental Hospital, Room # TBD.

Beautiful day here in northwest Ohio. Mid 60's, sunny, no wind and no golf. The truck with 8 yds of mulch showed up this morning

Another bomb cyclone headed through Nebraska, SD, Minnesota, and Wisconsin this week.  Up to 2 feet of wet snow and 50-60 mph winds.  I sure feel for you guys.

Sometimes I really hate living in Wisconsin.  Golfed on Saturday and Monday.  Yesterday was sunny and 65.  This is today's weather:

Man that sux! The golf Gods let you think spring and golf weather was here, then Bam!

We had warm sunny weather for a week in February, it was magical, then snow, rain and bitter north east winds.

Who do you complain to?

Not sure where to post - "weather" or "how did you play". Our course opened today and as usual it was a cold 40* with winds gusting to 42 mph off of Lake Erie.  That would be a wind chill of 28* for you southern boys and girls.  My partner and I were first to play (I think everyone else cancelled 😧).  The good news is that I found a new wind indicator; when you can see my receding hairline as in the photo - it means it's too windy for golf.

I won't comment on the game - but at least the driver and putter were working.

I left it in the golf cart - a  nice warm stocking cap that fared me well during the round.

Still snowing right now as I type this.  I don't think we got quite as much snow here as they originally thought, it's less than a foot anyway.

In the span of about 30 minutes yesterday we has almost every type of weather we get in MN.  66mph wind gust, thunder, lighting, snow, sleet, rain and hail.  I wish I was kidding.

Kids had no school yesterday and a 2hr delay this morning.  Might have to go putter shopping this afternoon and at least I have The Masters on TV.

Funny side note, some of our snow was light brown yesterday and everyone wanted to know why.  Meteorologist answered it on the news last night.  This storm is so big, and the winds so strong, that it was a dust plume from New Mexico that turned our snow brown.  They actually showed the dust plume on radar it was so big.

Just got back from Mississippi where my one round was rained out. Round at French Lick was breezy but warm. Rest of the week is hit and miss. Should be 70s today through Thursday but won't be able to play Thursday due to rain. Depending on how heavy it is,  may not get more than one or two rounds in this week.

Weather is sunny and the fairways are starting to dry out a bit - but unfortunately the golf is stalled while i finish mulching. Second truck  just arrived with 7 yds. 😱

Going to get over 70 here the next two days and Good Friday is the "official" start of the season. But I'm too used to this. It's probably about 3 more weeks of slapping a ball through the mud. Time to work on mental habits and routine. Forget score till it firms up.
