2022 Most Wanted Putters

So now that both 2022 Putter tests have been published I'm curious what everyone thinks?  Any big surprises?

 

One thing that stood out to me is just how poorly the Odyssey Eleven triple track scored from 20'.  The triple track putters have done really well the last 2 years (winning twice) and the exact same Odyssey Eleven putter with the "Tour Line" on it scored 21 points higher in that test.  Seems like another case where the results of the test are basically just a reflection of the specific group of testers used this year.

Sure, there is some dependency on the actual testers as the test is about what works best for the largest percentage of testers.  New testers and new evaluation metrics shift the percentages around a few points and the results could be drastically different.  If you are picking off the rack, the test is relevant for you.  If you are personally testing and getting fit the result may not match what works for you.   IF you have limited access to equipment, the list will give you something to start with.  I don’t think I have heard anyone say that a different group of testers would have differing results.  My personal most wanted results don’t match up to the list as ordered by the overall results.  
 

Regarding the odyssey, IMO I’d say it is more about the overall lines of the eleven than anything else.  For me it was a confusing putter to use as it had lines going lots of different directions.  They both performed terribly for me and I’d pick the tour line over the triple track.

The test made me very happy with my wife's Christmas gift to me- a Wilson Staff Buckingham putter.  It was very strong against putters costing considerably more.

A few years ago I was dead set on getting a Scotty when I accidentally discovered the Wilson Staff Bucktown. I fell in love very quickly.

I was surprised to see the PXG doing that well. I really l like the looks of the Blackjack as I am not too keen on the fanged putters, and it is on my list to try for sure. I did just buy the Odyssey Eleven Tour Lines, and wow, I really like how it feels as well as the white hot face (forgot how good that white hot feels).

There are just so many options, and the grip makes so much difference. I'm currently using a 2021 Ping Fetch w/2021 PP60 grip. Putters with softer inserts feel better to me. The older Odyssey White Hot putters also have a similar feel.
