Really hate to have missed this call.  Have spoken with Matt a few times and really like his work.  Always good to see a lefty doing big things too!

Wasn't feeling great today so I had to drop early.    Was interesting hearing what Matt was up too and I have his Youtube channel queued up to watch.

It was a fascinating call and such a good concept for supporting golf in the northern climate zone, and Toronto or TO or YYZ as they call it is only 35 miles north of Buffalo as the birds fly, to drive requires going around the western end of Lake Ontario which adds 65 miles to the trip.  Climate changes from summer to late autumn overnight tonight in this region. 

I had thought after missing the last Community Call, because of playing golf instead of talking about it, and decided when my phone reminder alarm went today while sighting my approach shot to the 2nd green, that it was completely doable if the signal would hold to try to connect on the 3rd fairway.  8 minutes later and Voila! no bars on the signal strength indicator but it connected   Hope the views were not too distracting for who was on and glad to share the beautiful day from the course.  As a bonus, my old foursome who has heard plenty about MGS Forum had a chance to hear us in action and one of them @Marc Threeput was the one with beard and no hat in the foursome back for a visit and round of golf from his new home north of Denver.

Bottom line is I did not miss the Community Call so only missed 2 to date and hope to not miss another!

We did finish the round in style as we did before, this time with Marc with a picnic dinner by the clubhouse for a 19th hole wind down and recharge making the most of what should prove to be the last warm dry day of 2023.

This was a good call as always and sorry I had to join late. I've been playing phone tag with a podiatrist all day to set up an appointment and finally got an appointment set up on 11/6. 

I really enjoyed watching Derek walking around on the course and I hope you have fun out there.

Look, obviously - when I leave, everyone else HAS to leave. That's the rule.  Clearly the takeaway from this is that I just always need to be the last to leave the call, and therefore I can't hang up on anyone. 

Loved hearing a bunch of people's 2024 goals - so cool to see the progress people have already made, and what they can envision for themselves going forward.

Glad I was able to join this week. 2024 goals was a great topic to get people involved and my dog who was begging for a walk is thankful for the abrupt hangup @GolfSpy SAM.

It was an awesome call, nothing high profile just a good getting together with the "gang" for some good fun and talking golf shop.

It was great to see you on Jason and I was thinking since you have not gotten out on the course in, well it seems like forever, I thought you more than anyone would enjoy being able to go along vicariously and that's when I pulled the phone off the cart mount and carried and set it up in front of the front wheel to make sure it would not fall over.

Hahaha I thought that happened, either that or God smiled on me as the driver off the 8th tee will only ever be known on Earth by the one who watched (in horror) where it sliced off to...  wait, I didn't admit to that.  Maybe that's what I want you to think

Just got home after leaving the call and then work, as I had a personal stop to make on my way home to pay final respects to a lifelong friend.

The call was great in that there were some newer guests participating, and the group mentioning their 2024 goals.

Like @sirchunksalot, Jason, really thought it was neat to see @EasyPutter, Derek out on the course in what appeared to be a nice fall afternoon there.

Looking froward to next week's call and what @GolfSpy_APH, Jamie and @GolfSpy SAM, Matt may make the topic of discussion.

Yes, saw you can use it for free. I had never used Spotify before so I didn't know if you needed a subscription or not

You may also want to check out his YouTube channel, he has since added a couple of really good and informative videos there since being on the Community Call.

I am glad he is making it on his own, doing things as he wants to see them done.

Missed another one. Last week I was traveling. This week my daughter came home from college on fall break. She said "Dad do you want to go golfing this afternoon" well you know the answer to that. My last conference call ended at 3:00 and we were gone.

I really enjoyed the call this evening, as always it was a fun time. @Tom the Golf Nut, I second the motion you made the right call. I hope you had a great time on the course with your daughter.

Usually, I'm heading out to my bocce league this time on Thursdays so I miss the calls.  Today, our opponents couldn't field a team so I had a free late afternoon.  Today was my first call.  I thought it was great connecting names to faces and hearing everyone's perspectives on various topics.  I hope to make future calls when we're between bocce seasons.   

BTW, our bocce courts are on compacted clay that is super fast with composite lumber side rails.  Think of it like a combination of curling and horse shoes except the target (pallino) ball moves!

Just got in after leaving work when I left the call today.

It was really great to see all of the participation, new people joining today, as well as the regular crew. Even better was Jamie @GolfSpy_APH providing the Jim Nance narrative while Derek @EasyPutter was out on the course.

Always great to see and chat with everyone on Thursdays. It's become my end of day tradition on Thursdays to completely ignore my work and hang out with you all.  

Hated I had to leave right when you got to the new Mizuno conversation.  I guess that's just how the cookie crumbles.

I'll miss next Thursday as I'll be traveling back from a conference in Vegas.
