How many spare clubs would you have in your garage?

It’s amazing how theses clubs seem to multiply just like rabbits according to my wife.  I just completed an inventory.
Divers 5;

Fairway woods 7;

Hybrids 4;  

6 full sets of irons 3-PW,

9 wedges; 38 putters;

46 additional putter heads

 

Maybe my wife is right.

My wife would kill me if I had that many clubs around!

I have an extra putter that I grew up with that I can’t part with…my backup when my current gamer stops working.

Also have a couple of irons that match my set (3, 4 and GW) that were replaced with utility irons/Vokey wedge.

Starting to accumulate putters and I have 1 set of TaylorMade Bubble Burner irons and woods that i bought to resell to fund my golf habit and a few = less than 10 thrift store finds bought on a whim. All inside.

I swap out my 4/5i with 22/25 degree hybrids so there’s always some mix of those plus I still have my previous set(D/5/19*, 4-pw) and a blade putter as I use a mallet,  just incase

Right now as I type this I have about 30 clubs behind me, most of them wedges. I have my 3 main wedges and then I will swap them out and play with different ones for fun depending on my mood and the course and conditions for the day.  I also like to play around with my long irons/hybrids and play different ones.  As a result I am now starting to sell some of them. I wish I could collect putters but most of them are too expensive and even used they are still more than I can usually afford.

Holy crap @BigDaddy!  That's impressive.

I suspect @PJVicary started this thread to justify his own collection, and I am very appreciative!  This thread will be very useful in explaining my addiction to FABWIFE, especially since the garage is a very messy staging area for all the clubs I have for sale!

As Owen and I started with hand-me-downs that we've since upgraded and I've added thrift store finds, I've accumulated a few too many clubs according to my wife.  Not at home, but off the top of my head:

Tour Edge 3 wood thats a couple seasons old but for the life of me I can't remember the model.

Wow, its one thing to see them at the house but it hits a little harder when I write it all down.  On the plus side we've been able to piece a few sets together for outings or friends to borrow when they took up an interest, which was the main reason we've held on to most everything.  We had some great friends that handed down some clubs to us when we started and now we're able to do the same.

i only have one full set with the Caley DI being my spare club. Due to limited space and my wife’s minimalist approach to life I will likely never have more than one set unless I am transitioning to a new set and waiting to sell my old. Or if I get to do a mgs iron or full bag test
