As we were coming up 9 today one of the guys came out from the clubhouse to tell us it was going to start pouring.

My friend is flipping a house so we went there. Here's the bar. :)

Meek drank some of this. I had the Glen 18.

I had a few Bitburger beers last night at my neighbor's firepit.  Nice night to have it but dang, I got smoked out.  Everytime I moved, the wind would switch and blow right into me, LOL.

There's a wine thread if I was on my computer I would link it for you. They talk about wines they drink and have given suggestions to a few others there as well

My wife and I also enjoy red wine and while we appreciate "the good stuff" (which we'll save for a really special occasion) we're happy bargain hunting for red blends - eg. Cab-Merlot, Cab-Merlot-Shiraz, etc etc. It's much easier to get a very drinkable and enjoyable bottle for anywhere from $6-$12.

Thanks I will look into these more. I have been getting bottle between $8-12 I haven't ventured into the high end stuff yet. I might take a trip to the vineyards soon and do some tasting

Some fantastic reds out there... the wine industry has started to become a bit like the craft beer industry in which you can get some fantastic wines from some small vineyards.

I'd say to experiment ... try some stuff from the Willamette Valley in Oregon or some stuff from WA; both have the perfect weather for growing grapes and the stuff is fantastic!

Some great stuff from S America too.... just like craft beer - be willing to look outside of the box and there are some really great choices.

We have a friend who is pretty well off and built a huge cellar in their new house...I'll have to ask him what some of his favorites are.  He'll drink a white once in a while but it's usually red.

On Tuesday after golf in Palm Springs, my wife and I headed to the Yard House in Rancho Mirage, CA.  They used to have 180 taps but reduced to 140.  Here's a pic of about 1/3 of them.

I chose the New Holland Dragon's Milk Stout.  YUM!!!  11% ABV

Not sure what, probably a few too many Japanese beers. My nephew's 21st birthday party is on, and my brother is partial to Japanese beer.

I take my responsibility as Drunkle seriously, someone has to do it.

I'm interested in hearing more about this beer. I'm a big fan of German beer having spent the better part of 10 years over there. Just curious where you bought it - since your a fellow buckeye. Kroeger?

I ordered it at the restaurant "pies and pints" in the short North district of Columbus. Not sure where you can buy it. It is an unfiltered beer, that looks like champagne, even has a similar taste. Add some apple flavor and there you go.
