DLC Black Coating

Just curious if anyone has had a set of irons coated. I found a place in Fort Mill, SC. I was thinking about having my ZX5s done, especially since Srixon won't do the black irons in lefties. The cost seems reasonable. My concern is what it might do to the performance. I am assuming that they have to take the heads off, coat them and then reassemble the clubs. They also offer resetting all of the lies and lofts, and cleaning up dings and scratches. Any experience out there? Thanks!

While I don't have a DLC coating on irons, I do have it on a putter. From what I can tell it is a pretty thin coating and I don't think it will change feel or anything and it has been very durable so far. I do recognize irons take a bit more of a beating than a putter, I would bet the soles will wear over time but the coating is one of the better black coatings I've seen on a golf club. Pretty sure PXG uses DLC coatings on their irons currently!
