Good evening Spies on a hot and humid Friday here, but big changes in the weather expected as a cold front moves through, with the possibility of isolated storms.

Spent the afternoon moving all of the tents, tables, supplies we have for our event to the location, and set-up a 20 X 40 tent up as part of our Silent Auction area. Just hope the winds stay away tonight.

Will leave very early in the morning to finish the setting up and final preparations for the gates opening at 7:45AM.

Will be a long day, but enjoyable, and for a very worthy cause.

Potentially golfing on Monday, will know if that is finalized tomorrow.

@Erin B great news on the C.I.C front, and hope you have a great time at your event too!

Good evening spies! Hope everyone had a great day! Didn’t play great, I scrambled all day. Shot an 84, 4 over my handicap. Hopefully my game shows up tomorrow. Tee off at 8 am MST. 

What should I name the hawks? Clark and Lois? Donno bout that one. Anyway, hit my ball to within 10 yards of them and they just sat there and watched me. It was pretty cool.

Spent some time this morning at the VA Zoo with the family, it was great seeing all the animals.

Then went out playing around with the Rapsodo, really enjoy being able to practice at home!

Just woke up and started my shift for tonight, ran around this morning to get a few things done then finally got to sleep around 1330, some bad weather with high winds went through and we are expecting more. Looks to be a several cup coffee night.

Repped the spies better today. Good evening spies! Shot 80, but could have been a 76. Putting wasn’t great today. 
37 putts is not good. Had fun though! Tomorrow is the final round. Won’t be in the money, but hopefully I’ll go lower. Didn’t see Sonny today, Cher was talking to me on 15 though.

Missed posting here yesterday due to my busy day and being exhausted at the end of it.

@Erin B congratulations on your improvement and hoping you can go even lower tomorrow.   

All I did today was finish and post my pictures, unwind, relax, and watch the final round of the Tour Championship.

Also posted the link below here and wanted to make sure all here may get a chance to see it before it may get pushed lower in that area of the forum.

Going for a Titleist GT fitting tomorrow with the same person that fit me for my irons.

He had a fitting day scheduled at the course near my house that I can actually walk to, and only had 2 appointments taken, so he asked me if I would want to do one at no cost to me unless I decide it is worth the upgrade.

More to come on that later after we see the results.

I am looking forward to a practice round tomorrow at a Pete Dye course.  Here is a pic of #17 green...

Nope, its not Sawgrass.  It is a course on the Eastern Shore of Maryland called Links at Perry Cabin.  SWMBO and I are playing in a mixed 2 ball alternate shot on Wednesday and a practice round is allowed.  I have been studying the course layout on the web and will take a bunch of notes tomorrow in preparation for Wednesday.

@rkj427 so freaking excited for you! Love the GT 3 and 4. I have to wait til next season cause we have about two months left in ours. Just can’t justify $600 yet, that and I demo’ed the dark speed and it’s actually longer than the GT. Several holes I played I was either on the green to within 50 yards from the green, just off to the right and left. Crazy long.

Good evening Spies on a much cooler and drier Labor Day Monday here.

Sunny, breezy, and a high of mid to upper 60's today. Perfect fall football or golf weather.

News for my friend Bill, @William P I will post a little later in the "What Did You Buy" thread about my Titleist GT fitting today, but the numbers don't lie, and the dispersion improvements were easily and readily seen even without using the Trackman. I can say that they do launch higher than the TSR models, and have lower spin, just make certain that your fitter will work through the whole process to get the best shaft (timing mechanism) for your swing.

Also went and picked up a memory stick with an additional 400+ pictures from our show, some which give the viewer a better view or understanding of the whole layout and event, rather than just the cars present.

Already have them in albums on Google, just waiting for approval of our club's webmaster that we can use links and not all of the pictures on our clubs before sharing them. Don't want to cause him any aggravation or grief.

Haven't heard anything from @Erin B, but hopefully he had a strong finish or at least a more enjoyable round today.

Good evening gents. Good day with the kiddo on the course today. Had a hard time with the irons, again, but tee shots were great. Three birdies but six bogeys and a double were costly. And just dumb mistakes too. My lack of putting and chipping practice this year is showing though lately. Played my last couple of rounds with my Scotty Phantom and the Ventus Velocore+. The Phantom needs some work before it gets full time in my bag. The Ventus is working great but going to play the next few rounds with the Newton to see what I get. Went to the range this morning and had a terrible day there so I played 9 and had a great day there. Go figure, huh? Maybe it was the breakfast I had after the range that cleared my head. Some bomb french toast can change a man. Nothing crazy going on over here in California, contemplating whether to get a combo set of the new Apex AI irons and be almost squared away on my bag for a year, at least.
