Adapting Swing Mechanics to Environmental Variables

Recommended Posts

In the rich tapestry of golf, each course presents a canvas painted with its own distinct environmental nuances, from the gentle sway of wind-blown grass to the occasional downpour of rain. In the face of such variability, how do you artfully tailor your swing mechanics to harmonize with these ever-changing elements? Whether it's sub of the day norge or the whisper of a breeze altering your ball's trajectory or the challenge of navigating a soggy fairway, share your mastery of adaptation and the strategies you employ to seamlessly integrate these external factors into your game.

Well, in the beginning it was.... simply put...

WHACK......

.....F@#% !

But since I have become more intimate with the other four letter word....GOLF,  it has been less about over thinking,  over swinging,  and over complicating it, and more about simplifying it.  Playing shot by shot as their own WHOLE, and not the SUM for each hole. Every ball placement  already has its own unique swing mechanics I have to integrate.  Essentially,  no 2 will ever be identical, even if the same result transpires.

Just an old newbie golfer, trying to learn and improve 1 club at a time.

I played in windy conditions yesterday and if I'm hitting into the wind, I will play a lot of knock down shots. I may hit 2 extra clubs on a high approach in to the green so that it lands soft.
