Titleist T-Series Irons Fitting

Thanks to some lucky pick's in my club's U.S. Open fantasy pool (ty Tony, Hideki, Xander, and Corey), I will be getting fitted for a new set of T-series irons.  I am excited for this journey, largely because it's the first time I've been fitted for anything but driver.  After a honeymoon period with my current gamers, I've really ben struggling with my 150-200 yard clubs, so I'm excited to use this as an opportunity to make sure I've got the right tools in the bag.  My handicap is a lot higher than I feel it should be, largely owing to a lack of confidence in my long clubs (and, frankly, the related poor course management).

I don't know yet what this journey will look like, but it should be a fun ride.  I hope you'll enjoy tagging along.

Talked to the pro after a practice session and he mentioned the next fitter coming out is Taylormade, so I may go that route.  I also returned to form with my irons, hitting my Hogans better than I ever have, so thinking I may ask to sub for a couple of woods and a hybrid.  Whatever route I go, I'll post my experience.

I currently game Taylormade P770 6-PW and Titleist T200 for 5 iron

i think if you need that forgiveness in the long irons you should definitely look at the T200 they feel so good and are so forgiving

Enjoy!  I need to get myself properly fitted. I got a nice set of P790s a few years ago for a steal from a lady getting rid of her ex’s stuff after a bad divorce.  Only thing is this guy must’ve been a giant because they are 1.25 longer than standard.  I’m not that tall and have been choking down on them since getting more comfortable.  But would be interested in knowing what proper specs would be for me.

The T100 is the best iron set I’ve ever played. The recently released MGS best players sets was accurate in describing the T100. If this is the route you’re looking, you’ll see an accurate and forgiving set that isn’t the longest of the bunch.

If you end up T100, you may be surprised at how forgiving they play. T150, 200 and 350 have been very well received and you can read more below in the attached link from last years’ testing.

Appreciate all the feedback.  As it turns out, they give the prizes as shop credit that I can spend however I'd like.  Being jealous lovers, my current irons cooperated on Monday when I hit them better than ever.  Even my weak spot of 3W/5W played well (too well, in the case of a teed 3W that still trickled into the drink 237 out, but I digress).

Looks like I'll probably hang onto the credit and take advantage of fittings to see who can fill a need in my bag (looking at you, 4 iron).  Other than that, I might use it on apparel, a new bag, and/or anticipatory wedges.
