Who games the R11s V2 and V3?

I'm a deep faced driver type player, in which Superdeep is my fave so far.

But I'm looking for some info about the V2 and V3 heads.

From some I heard that the V2 is swallower than the V3 and from some others the exact opposite.

So any one care to share?

The v3 is smaller at, I believe 380cc. The v2 is what every one of the tour guys were pretty much hitting. The v1 I don't believe, if memory serves, was ever put in play. The v2 is okay, and the best among the 3 in terms of forgiveness and distance. The v3 is an adjustment if you've been playing 400+ cc's for any length of time.

IMO, if you want adjustable and off the tour van, I wouldn't buy either. I'd search out a good condition R11 DOT. Much better head, IMO. Better distance, playability:forgiveness is there, but its much quieter and is lower spin. If adjustability isn't the tipping point, I'd ditch those all together and find a Superfast 2.0 v2 LCG.

Do you know if the V2 is actually a deeper face than the retail & V3?

I was told that on address it looks like the superdeep. So if it does kinda look like the Superdeep or the COvert tour, I think I may like it.

What is the "DOT" ?

Thanks

The DOT is the tour version of the R11. It's 420cc instead of 440cc. It's signified by the T-serial and there's a dot next to the loft (hence the name).

The V2 is a little deeper faced, maybe 10-15mm if I were guessing. It's taller faced and noticeable and shorter front to back. Definitely not as deep as the Superdeep (though that may also be the white head and reduced glare).

The V3 is small all over. Like a modern 510 but smaller.
