Chuckles0318
DRIVER DRAMA!!! Where to begin...I bought a used Cobra F6+ Driver from my local shop. Hit it on the range then played with it. After a few holes my buddy said it sounded funny. Started looking at it and it was cracked right by where the hosel meets the club head. Had a few drinks and bought a used Callaway Paradym for $300 from 2ndSwing.com online. Had it shipped to my job. Opened the box and examined it and there was a crack in what I thought was just the finish. Took it to my local shop when I went to return the Cobra and my buddy verified the Callaway was also cracked. While I was there a kid traded in a Cobra Rad Speed. My store credit for the first Cobra and $5.14 later I walked out with a super mint Cobra Rad Speed. ZackS
The Stealth2 5 wood fitting head I got on eBay came in and I was able to sneak into PGASS before they closed last night and hit a few compared to my current Triple Diamond 5 wood. I had it turned down 1 click on loft to reduce the spin and open the face a little and early returns "especially given it has a 50g senior flex that is not optimized for me" look like it is going to give me exactly what I was wanting of same #'s with a little more forgiveness. So now the question is since it looks so promising do I go ahead and put a Taylormade tip on my TPT shaft or do I try the Roymade all-fit tip I got on amazon so I can try both heads in the same shaft before deciding Lefty11, ejgaudette, William P and 5 others 7 1 Quote WITB: Driver: Titleist TSR3 with TPT Nitro 15Hi 5 wood: Calloway Paradym Triple Diamond with TPT Power 15Lo Driving Iron: Tour Edge Exotics EXS Ti-Utility Hybrid: PXG 0317X Gen2 hybrid with TPT Power 15Lo Irons: Takomo 101T with Nippon Modus 120 shafts Wedges: Celveland RTX4 50 Degree, Calloway Jaws Raw 58 degree Z grind and 54 degree S grind Putter: Edel EAS 4.0 Ball: Srixon Z Star Diamond / Z Star XV Official 2024 TPT Shaft Test
Popular Post dback
I hit the Cobra LTDx a while back and loved how it felt and performed, waited for the Darkspeed to come out to bring pricing down a bit and "built my own" through marketplace. Someone was selling a hzdrus smoke stiff shaft (currently game this in my Mizuno) a few months ago because their driver head broken and they just wanted to get rid of it, so snagged it for $25. I've been waiting for a driver head at the right price and one finally popped up on marketplace today. Jumped all over it and now have my own self-built cobra ltdx driver set-up for under $100. Donn lost in San Diego
Instead of spending money to buy wedges to get the proper gap between clubs, I already owned an exact backup unit of my favorite wedge, so, I had local fitter bend one of them up 2 degrees and the other one bend down 2 degrees, so now I have 4 degree gaps from the PW of my iron set, to one wedge and another 4 degrees to its otherwise identical model. I bought the backup unit years ago for dirt cheap and sat on it til my brain finally kicked in. I bet some of you low hdcp regulars who have wedge sets for years will get a chuckle out of this. (Mizuno S5 from 2018, 52 deg x 9 bounce.) I have now hit the green or fringe about 10 of the 11 shots since my stroke of "pure genius". And now I probably won't buy a wedge for 2 or 3 years. Maybe even longer, if I send these to IronFactory to re-groove after a lot of use. Sorry, no Vokey, Cleveland, or Indi. FallenSaber
Just ordered the Shot Scope CONNEX Mobile Tracking Tags. I really wanted the Garmins but they're just so much more expensive and I've read some of the testers issues with them. I'm curious to see what I like better, the $700 Garmin Approach S70 watch or $100 CONNEX tracking tags. I did get a really good deal on the tags through a work affiliation program. cksurfdude, dback, Rob Person and 3 others 6 Quote Driver: Epic Max LS 3 Wood: Gen 5 0311XF Hybrid: Gen 5 0311 XF 22 degree Irons: 2022 XCOR2 0211 5-GW Wedges: R Series 54° & 60° Putter: 2023 Test: Garmin Approach S70 47mm

I picked up a New Old Stock 3 wood Xr from Call pre-owned a few years ago. On the Tensei blue CK A flex (I am 69 yrs). I am happy with it, use it mostly from fairway, not tee. I wonder if newer tech will make much difference at my swing speed. No. I am using 3 & 5 wood that are Sim2 now. cksurfdude and Rob Person 2 Quote TaylorMade Sim2 Max 10.5 Driver - Tensei AV Blue 55 R Callaway 4+ Wood Steelhead XR - Tensei CK 65 R Callaway 5 Wood Steelhead XR - Tensei CK 55 R Callaway Heavenwood Steelhead XR - Tensei CK 55 R TaylorMade Rescue Mid 3 (19*) - SteelFiber i95 R TaylorMade Rescue Mid 4 (22*) - SteelFiber i95 R TaylorMade Rescue Mid 5 (25*) - SteelFiber i95 R Honma Beres irons (2020) 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, AW - Nippon 750GH Wrap Tech R Vokey SM8 56* D grind & Vokey SM8 54* bent to 52* D grind Scotty Cameron California Monterey Putter
jazz15c
14 hours ago, dback said: I hit the Cobra LTDx a while back and loved how it felt and performed, waited for the Darkspeed to come out to bring pricing down a bit and "built my own" through marketplace. I've got a 9 hole round this evening and it is going straight into the bag to try out. This same set-up at my local golf equipment store is going for $219 brand new LOVE that idea for a hat rack!
