Dead Solid Bogey
37 minutes ago, jdparker said: How did the rest of the tournement go? Have you gotten to hit the new wedges yet? Had some senior citizen issues…. Ended up crawling, limping, and stumbling in. Tied for third gross. Got the new wedges unwrapped and had finished introductory gripping and swings and was about to hit the first ball when the marriage and work thing both erupted simultaneously… Hoping for time at the range Tuesday afternoon. Wanting desperately for these wedges and smaller grips to help the short game. The bigger grips didn’t seem to help my hands and reduced the feel. I play by feel, especially the short game. cksurfdude, Preeway, Josh Parker and 1 other
2puttbogey
A different driver. I’ve had my current PXG gen 5 for a bit over a year now, and I can’t find any consistency with it. I’ve practiced bounces with, but can’t seem to get it to work for me. Changed the shaft recently to no avail. I don’t want to blame the equipment all the time, but at some point it’s got to be part of the problem right? Shrek74
Umm, well I'm thinking about everything really. But then again, that's pretty much par for the course these days. I'm really looking at everything because I plan to do a few full bag fittings with various manufacturers and vendors come May as I look to update my bag with anything that outperforms what's in there now. Irons: Titleist T-Series, Mizuno JPX923 & MP245, Srixon ZX 4 & 5 MKii, PXG Gen6, Callaway Paradym, Ping G430 & i525, and Cobra Forged Tec Woods/Hybrids: Titleist TSR2/3, Mizuno ST-X/Z 230, PXG Gen6, Callaway Paradym, Ping G430, Cobra Aerojet, and Taylormade Stealth 2/2+ Wedges: Titleist SMx, Mizuno S23/T22/T24, PXG Forged, Indi, and Ping Glide/Forged Putters: LAB, Edel, Evnroll, Bettinardi, PXG, and Mizuno I might look at some of the more economically focused options, but for now this is the list based on my game as it currently stands and making a few assumptions of progress made over the offseason. It'll be a special Spring next year, so I don't want to hold a budget hostage this time around (at least to a point). What works best will likely win out. bens197
This season will be all about wedges for me. I have found that regardless of what I have tried in 2020-2023, that Vokey wedges just work best for me. I struggle with the thought that there may always be something better for me which is why I am excited to see the results of the Edison wedge test. The MG line continues to be heralded as one of the top performers and while they have not given me good luck in the past, the shape of the heads is exactly what I want to be looking at if I were designing a club.
