Just finishing on promo vinyl for the 4th side of Fleetwood Mac in Chicago.  Peter Green along with bluesmen such as Otis Spann, Willie Dixon, Shakey Horton and others.

The sound quality of the vinyl is the icing on the cake.

Today I listened to the 4 album set of Fleetwood Mac in Concert 1970.  Also listened to AC/DC Let there be Rock, Edwin Birdsong and a couple of B.B. King albums, three Chet Atkins albums as well as Bad Company S/T and Desolation Angels.

Have not decided what I will listen to later this evening.

I always find my way back to Pink Floyd. Today it was Animals. 

Led Zeppelin is a regular in rotation and when I want a similar sound but with a modern interpretation, I fire up some Greta Van Fleet.

When Led Zeppelin was honored at the Kennedy Center, Heart performed Stairway to Heaven. It was moving and amazing.

I also really enjoy Playing for Change on YouTube. It consists of artists from around the world performing covers, often with original performers.

Their take on When the Levee Breaks is incredible.

So we have an annual music festival here called Pointfest.  It is by far the best bang for your buck show you can see.  Lawn seats are like 30.00, seat seats not too bad were only 80.

this was a bit of a lesser year but overall some good stuff.  80.00 to see bad omens and wage war?  Ok ok ok.  Good stuff.

anyway.  The show.

bad omens were good, but Wage War? Holy s*** they melted the crowds face off.  Absolute 10/10 performance from them.  Never seen them but had heard them come across Pandora before.  Here’s how it sounded off a phone recording (not me doing it) imagine it live not on a s***** phone mic:

... On a different note, literally and figuratively, SNL has ruined a few songs for me. But none more than Nights On Broadway by the BeeGee's. I wasn't a big BeeGee's fan but played them on the radio for years so they had some nostalgic good vibes for me until Timberlake and Fallon ruined it. It came on the radio today and I instantly pictured Justin and Jimmy.

90’s hip hop. I’m not the one who listens to rap or hip-hop for some reason it just gels with me when I’m playing golf and it’s carried over into my every day life. Otherwise I’m 2000 alternative all the way.

So true - I never “got it” until I saw them live a couple years ago. Truly a mind blowing experience

... As much as I loved TOOL at the United Center in Chicago, one of my favorite concerts ever was Puscifer's V is For Vagina Tour. My ex saw the 10,000 Days tour and it remains her favorite with Puscifer right behind it. She is a huge Maynard fan. 

... I am not much of a balls to the wall metal kinda guy and never understood the appeal of Punk, but TOOL's layering often starting so simple before building into a crescendo is really something special. I have Japanese Imports of 10,000 Days and V is for Vagina and listening to them after an edible on an audiophile sound system is just off the charts.

The polyrhythms of Danny Carey and a good edible + my Sony WH-1000XM5's direct lined = major decompression session. 

Another band that I love to listen to the same way, who has some good complexity, is periphery. Definitely a heavier listen but the mixing and musicianship on most of their albums is pretty great!

... We speak the same language. As much as I really enjoy Danny, I can't take my eyes and ears off Jeff Friedl when he plays for Puscifer or Perfect Circle (another of my favorite CDs Thirteenth Step).

@chisagim going out on a limb here but with your musical preferences, and what you are into, have you ever listened to Dirty Loops? Jazz/rock/pop fusion by 3 of the best musicians I've ever come across. 

Worth a listen ans great for "decompressing"
