Carbs are a necessity for energy at the gym! Eat a banana or some blueberries or oatmeal with your breakfast. Also, don't forget fiber in your diet. While fruits and vegetables are a good source of fiber, a lot of good fiber comes from whole grains found in breads, cereals and pasta. Eat the rainbow in the produce aisle (eat a variety of fruits and vegetables) and look for whole grain in your breads and pasta. From a psychological side of weight loss, completely avoiding foods adds unnecessary stress to weight loss...stress restricts weight loss. You're constantly worried about consuming something you're trying to avoid. A little bread or pasta or cereal won't hurt you. And the last thing you want to do is to stress and then binge on carbs down the road. Most folks eat too many carbs in their every day diet and then switch to no carbs, but there's a healthy balance. ole gray, tommc23, MattF and 2 others 5 Quote Cobra Connect 5 Competitor - Team Chad King Radspeed 10.5* w/ Hzrdus RDX Blue 60 6.5 tipped 1/2" - Peacoat/Red King Radspeed Big Tour 3 Wood w/ Hzrdus RDX Blue 70 6.5 Tipped 1/2" King Radspeed Tour 5 Wood w/ Motore X F1 70 X Flex King Utility 4 21* w/ Tensei Pro White 100 X Flex King Tour MIM Copper Irons 5-G w/ AMT White X100 Onyx King MIM Black Wedges 55* & 60* w/ AMT White X100 Onyx Spider SR Pro V1x Left Dash Lefty

Golfspy_CG2
OK weigh in this morning was 277-6'5" for the record or otherwise trying to convince for my self I'm not too fat!! But wearing a size 44 waist says otherwise. Goal will be sub 260 ideally-250 by Masters weekend. One way will be avoiding thst unlimited soft come fountain that is 30 feet from my desk. Ans drinking more water throughout the day. I do a good job of thst at home and dinner. Just need to do it during the day as well. Also commit to getting out and walking more during the day at work. Even If u just walked down hole 1 of one of our courses and back up 18 of the other that would be close to a mile. tommc23
Folks I'm not fitness expert but I will give some advice. In strongman and powerlifting we live by two things, if it's easy everyone would do it and the mentally weak never win. The last one is huge because if you think the weights are too heavy you will fail it's the same thing for everything. When doing weight work and you think it's too hard to do one more don't quit do that one more after that thought hits you. For those like myself needed more cardio when you get tired push yourself for one extra minute. Those doing push ups and sit ups one extra push up a day will feel like a struggle but every ounce helps. This is as much for myself to push harder as it is for others. If you push just that little bit harder, go just a little bit longer, reach a littler further you will reach your goals. Sometimes getting yourself into it mentally you can push yourself pass the goals you have and exceed them. Good luck and be safe. KJG67
Weighed right in at 210 this morning, 5'9†and 42.5†waist Goal is to get down to at least 195. Hit the gym this already this morning and plan to focus mostly on core for the first few weeks (abs, back, abductors and adductors) along with cardio. Didn't realize how much that had gone to hell. Went back to see my instructor last week at the indoor dome (this -8 F crap in Chicago...), and first thing he mentioned was my balance and weight shift was off - part of what's causing my driver problem I had this Fall. GolfSpy Barbajo
Weighed in at 219, with a goal of 200 by April 5th. Wife and I joined the Y when we moved to Exeter and I've taken some classes with her. Along with often being the only guy in the room, I'm learning that there are different kinds of "in-shape." We do something called a Pound Class that uses drum sticks - it's a combination of aerobics, yoga and sadism that's core and leg focused. Also took a class called Body and Movement - also crazy tough - and we started a Yoga class yesterday that was awesome - usually play my best golf while in Yoga classes. Flexibility and core/leg/back/upper body strength are key areas for me...along with cardio. This is gonna be fun! We may need to find a sponsor for this endeavor! excourse, Rickp, tommc23 and 5 others 8 Quote What's in the bag: Driver: TSR3; DynaPWR Carbon FW Wood: DynaPWR 3-wood; TSR 2+ Hybrids: PXG Gen4 18-degree Utility Irons: ZX MkII 20* Irons:; 699/699 Pro V2 Combo; D9 Forged; MT86 (coming soon!); VIP 1025 V-Foil MB/CB; Wedges: RTX6 Zipcore Putter: HB Soft Milled 10.5; Newport Special Select; Willamette, BB8; 8802; MATI Monto Ball: Tour B RXS; Z-STAR Diamond; Triad Stat Tracker/GPS Watch: Follow @golfspybarbajo
