We'[re excited abou tit. Just in the two days since it's been announced on our FB page, I have had more people ask me "What is the Sub 70 all about" in that time than I have in 5 years. So that's exciting, to be able to share the store with them. And to help promote and build the hype around it I figured why not go ahead and orde my very first "senior age appropriate driver" LOL.....Looking forward to putting this to the test in my CG2 Driver Shootout thread. Awesome! Thanks for talking about Sub 70 and what we're doing. If you need anything for the event or otherwise just let me know. 202, GolfSpy_APH and GolfSpy_KFT

I'm considering changing out my 5-year old driver, and have just ordered a Sub70 849 Pro driver through their demo program. I'll have 10 days or so to evaluate the club. If I send it back, the total cost to me will be $20, if I keep it its just $200. I haven't read this whole thread, and haven't heard a lot about their drivers, so I'll so my best to report back my impressions. And just like that, the driver showed up on my doorstep this afternoon. It looks like I'll have a decent week or so of weather to play on the course with it, and there's a nearby indoor Trackman facility if I decide I want to see numbers. hawkdriver
I posted this on the Sub 70 Facebook Page but I figured that I would share it here also..... Ladies and Gentlemen….and anybody else that cares….I had my fitting, with Neal Golyshko, last night. What a majestic experience!!!!!! Neal is so friendly and puts you at ease. God knows that he’s seen plenty of good swings and plenty of bad swings….and it’s probably hard to keep dealing with hacks like me…yet keep a smile on his face. The Seventy is as professional as it comes with regards to location and ambience. Anyway….what I really appreciated is the fact that Neal tried to help me, instead of just selling me something. He saw two fairly minor things, in my swing, that I had just gotten lazy with over the years. I made those two small corrections and I am now ready for Q School (that is sarcasm, by the way). Seriously….by identifying two small flaws, I improved things all around. Now I just have to remember them. I also had the opportunity to meet Cody Varga…and put a face with a name. Cody has been helping me, over the last year, via phone/email but he actually gave me a one on one tour of the business side of Sub 70. Got to see the warehouse, where the clubs are built, etc., etc An absolutely outstanding experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering the trip. 202
I received my new TAIII wedge over the weekend and I am super excited to try it. The first time I will use it is this week playing at Bandon Dunes! How is that for a first round? Our group is playing all 6 courses in 3 days so I should get a really good feel for it over this week. I ordered it hoping it would make it in time for my trip to Oregon this week and it is here, thank you Sub70. It looks a as good as advertised. The grooves look great and the initial feel and sound around the house are great. Can't wait to try it out.Congrats! Sub70 wedges for sure look good! richk9holes
3 days (yes! 3) ago I saw a set of P.O. clubs on Sub70 website that match what I had wanted to custom order. Enticed by the 20% off on pre-owned clubs and apparel for Masters week, I jumped on them hoping to get them by Easter and pondering how I'm going to sneak out of brunch for 3 hours. It is 3 days exactly since they got my confirmation (@8pm est) and not only did I receive them, they came 11am today so I gave them a wire brush bath and am already home from getting them dirty. That smile on my face is a happy customer. Shot my personal best at the course I played today. The praise that sub70 receives is understated, imo. richk9holes
@scubahoops I had a 699u 24° in satin finish with kbs tour v 90 black pvd steel R shaft already and 20 swings in I fell for it. I added 699 6i-PW in the same finish, KBS black pvd steel R in a heavier tour 110 so I can try a slightly heavier shaft. I have Call. Apex '19 with the stock Elevate vss shafts and don't love the trajectory from the 90g shafts. I had looked at buying these KBS black shafts and having them put in my iron heads, but it would cost about $350-450. The red/blue/white ferrule are a nice finishing touch. Did check the demos available for the 699 V2 but only .. currently, I presume? .. had options for Stiff, X Stiff .. I'm a Regular or Senior guy... What that probably means is that the other shaft options are out being demoed right now but they work to get them back quickly. You could message them and ask to let you know when they get the regular shafts back from a demo. Also, I know shafts make a big difference but you could try a stiff and see how the club head feels or even try a 600 Pro V2 with a Regular shaft. Last, other than the feel of the demo clubs and the great service I received up to that point, one thing that sold me on buying from them was the 60 day guarantee. I promise I am not being paid by Sub70, though I wish I was or getting free stuff, but I really believe in and love the small companies and Sub70 is one of them that definitely does it right. That why most of my clubs are Sub70 or a smaller brand and even some of the balls I play are from the independent guys. They are brand new and look fantastic and they may be a good fit in the GI area but still have a bit of playability. The 799's are listed as Super Game Improvement and at the 699 V2's are Game Improvement. Just a thought from a Sub70 fan. I second this. Just for reference...I am 53 years old and in pretty good shape, thanks to a career in the U.S. Army. When I was playing regularly...I got down to a single digit handicap. Now...getting to play less...I am just trying to break 90, when I get the opportunity to play. Played the original 699 Pro for a year. Because of my satisfaction with that iron, I was immediately interested when the 699 Pro V2 came out. I was so interested...and previously had such good luck with Sub70...that I decided to treat myself to a trip, up to Sycamore, and get fitted at Sub70. The 699 Pro V2 is an outstanding club and works out just fine for me and sounds like you should consider it over the 799. If you have the opportunity....take a trip to The Seventy, in Sycamore, IL, and let Neal Golyshko fit you. He won't let you down. For me...that 8 hour drive, up to The Seventy, was well worth it. cksurfdude
OK... @GolfSub70 - I officially eat my words from my earlier post! Thx also to @sirchunksalot and @scubahoops and now @hawkdriver too for your posts ... so I went back to the Sub70 site and tried the Chat .. a short time later got an email that was *informative and directly answered my query* .. to which I replied back .. followed a short time after that by a phone call from a very friendly and very helpful live human person ... and so a demo 699 V2 with a Regular flex shaft is now on its way to me! (..95g steel shaft which is not quite right for me but close enough for an in-hand demo!) Humble apologies to Jason/Sub70 for my earlier whining and complaining - guess i was having a bad day and frustrated after a few other big customer service fails within a few days.... So thx to your people for helping make it all good again So glad it worked out to get you some demo's. I didn't want to sound too preachy, but I believe in Sub70 and I wanted you to get a chance to try it out for yourself. The great thing is that you were able to get in touch with someone in both a chat and on the phone and they made a demo set happen for you, not really something you can get with the big guys. The same applied for me on the shafts, my demo set came with a different one from what I ordered but I got a good enough feel for the clubs that I knew how well they played and then I purchased a set with the correct shafts. I hope you enjoy the demo's and I am curious to know what you think. tucker_jct, cksurfdude, GolfSub70 and 2 others 5 Quote Driver G400 Max 10.5 - Project X Even Flow Riptide CB 70g 6.5 Extra Stiff Fairway 4W 949X - Project X Mid Launch 6.0 Stiff Hybrid 3H G Hybrid - Alta 70 Stiff Irons 4U 699 Pro Utility - Project X 6.0 Stiff 5-PW 639CB Forged Black - True Temper Elevate 95 MPH Stiff Wedges AW 50 JB Forged Wedge Black - True Temper Elevate 95 MPH Stiff SW 54 TAIII 54LB - True Temper Elevate 95 MPH Stiff LW 60 JB Forged Satin Wedge - Nippon Modus 3 Tour 120 Steel Putter L.A.B DF2.1 Ball Bridgestone Tour B XS or Tour B X Bag 2022 Hoofer Lite in Grey Shoes Speed Bold in Black Glove

Golfspy_CG2
So we had @GolfSub70 out at our course for a demo day yesterday. I hit the 699 and 699 Pro. To my surprise and much consternation I hit the 699 Pro better. And boy what a great feeling iron. I think I’f I had them built to my specs, they would be really special There was a steady stream of people stopping by to check them out. As expected most had not heard of the brand. And as expected most left very impressed. The rep took an order for a set of irons and a couple wedges I believe. cksurfdude
Got the demo irons today - 2 days after ordering! First visual impression - these are much more GI-looking vs what I'd previously thought; eg that they are more "players" irons .. but for me this is a good thing. Unfortunately the stock shaft is not quite right for me - TT Elevate 95 vs 60-70 gm graphite I play - but still excited to try them out! WaffleHouseTour
Making the trip to Sycamore next week (8 hour drive but I’ll break it up w a round or two over two days so I don’t arrive all stiff). So much I’d like to see/try. I’m torn about what is right for me so have to just let someone fit me to what works best, not what I think might. I’m ready to move off my single length clubs and figure this is the way to do it. Get fit for everything at once. Thinking about two sets of wedges- regular bounce for playing at home, and low bounce for when playing at my home away from home at the Prairie a club and Landmand - the lies are so tight there. But will wait and see what the fitters say… scubahoops, richk9holes and mpatrickriley 3 Quote Walking ahead of my BagBoy QuadXL w Alphard eWheels Driver: Callaway Mavrik SubZero 9* Neutral w stock Evenflow Riptide R flex shaft 3W Titelist TS2 15* Draw w Tensei Blue R flex 3H, 4H Cobra One Length F9 Speedback hybrids (1”short) w Fujikura Atmos R flex shaft 5I-GW Cobra Forged TEC Black One Length (1”short, 2* flat) KBS 90 R flex shafts 56, 60 Cobra King MIM One Length Black (1” short) KBS HiRev2.0 125 S flex shafts ER7 or Scotty Futura X - 35” OnCore Elixr (lemon or lime)
