J.T. Poston wins the Wyndham

J.T. Poston won the Wyndham Championship for his first PGA Tour win. He also became the first since Lee Trevino in 1974 to win a PGA Tour event while going bogey-free in all four rounds.

 

Webb Simpson finished second, one shot behind Poston. Byeong Hun An finished third and two shots back. He was also bogey-free for the tournament until the back nine on Sunday, where he bogeyed both 15 and 18.

 

Viktor Hovland finished in fourth, three shots back of Poston. Unfortunately for him he needed a second place finish to obtain his tour card for next season.

Was a good tournament to watch, and for sure congrats and well played to JT, going bogey free for the week is no small task. 

Glad to see the Tour players speak highly of Sedgefield as well, I hope the Tour continues to come back for a long time since I live in Gboro.  I hope they can continue to grow the tournament and attract some bigger names to play, although next year will likely suffer due to the Olympics the week before.
