Forum-Wide Golf Tournament?

Has anyone ever had the idea to have a forum-wide golf tournament? You could have everyone play within a one week time period. Their lowest score from the week can be posted along with their handicap and course rating/slope in one thread similar to when posting for a reviewing opportunity. The lowest gross score could win something. Thoughts?

That would be interesting however, it doesn't seem easy to keep it honest. 

I would say the only way to keep it honest would be to require the scores to be part of a tournament where the scores are published. It would be easier to keep it going for a month or season since toothaches l tournaments are less often.

Actually, high school and college players could probably put together a nationwide Amateur cup with sponsors nationwide if someone took the time to put it together, contact contributors,  and collect entries.
