GolfSpy MPR
Got my turkey in the brine last night. For the last several years, my starting point has been Alton Brown's turkey recipe: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/good-eats-roast-turkey-recipe-1950271 I basically follow all his instructions on the brine and the fruit/onion stuffing, but I've done our last several turkeys in our electric smoker. A couple months back, I added a pellet grill to the arsenal, so this year's turkey is going to be slow smoked on that. Are food preparations underway for you all as well? What are you making? sirchunksalot, BIG STU, GolfSpy_SHARK and 3 others 6 Quote TS3 9.5°, Tensei Blue CBX T3 15°, Project X HZRDUS Black Epic Super Hybrid 18°, Aerotech Steel Fiber FC HYB S C722 21°, Ventus Blue 8S CBX Iron-Wood 25°, Project X HZRDUS Black 6.0 639 CB, Aldila NV 95 Graphite, 6–PW CBX 48° T22 54° and 60° EAS 4.0, Garsen G-Pro grip TP5x and Tour Response Full WITB with pictures

BIG STU
Ok it is odd in most folks eyes. It is just me and the Wife now and the 2 dogs. We never cook traditional Thanksgiving dinner because we do not care for Turkey. Got some beef tips marinating for Kabobs on the grill---- She also has some Crab meat ( fresh Local) pulled out for crab and cheese stuffed Mushrooms. And believe it or not we do like stuffing so she is going to do some with beef gravy too. And the old Green Bean Cassarole. Right now it is cold and windy here and she has a pot of Pinto beans in the slow cooker for tonight and fried cornbread. One year when her mother was still living I did a huge low country boil. As in life in general we do not do things the traditional way. She just told me we had more crab and cheese mix than big mushrooms so later I am going to split some Jalepenos and do crab cheese stuffed peppers bacon wrapped fixyurdivot, sirchunksalot, Kenny B and 3 others 6 Quote Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex- 5W TM V-Steel Fubuki 60r--- 7W TM V-Steel UST Pro Force Gold 65R----- 9 W TM V Steel TM MAS stiff---- Irons 2015 TM TP CB Steel Fiber 95 R--- GW Callaway Mack Daddy 2 52* shaft unknown junk pile refugee. Kenny B
This is the first holiday season with just my wife and I. I've been driving through snow and ice in the Columbia River gorge for 53 years to see mom and dad. Now that they are gone, we are just staying home. I just put our turkey on the Grilla bbq/smoker an hour ago. Seasoned and stuffed with apple/onion/salt/pepper/garlic/cola mixture. Should be ready in 6-8 hours. We are cooking it today because we have a tee time at our sister course across the river Thursday morning with another couple. It's OK if we eat some of it for dinner tonight... right??? sirchunksalot, GolfSpy_SHARK, fixyurdivot and 1 other 4 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
