Chester3488
I wouldn't get too excited over the SM8's price dropping. From what I've heard around the camp fire, the remaining stock on SM8's is much lower than usual. Which means either much less of a price drop, or if there is a price drop you may not be able to get the grind, loft bounce combination you are interested in. Quote I got a bag full of Cobras.... BostonSal
The L Grind 58-04, a fixture in the Spin Milled series since its inception, was left out of the SM8 lineup. I'm curious to see if the SM9s still left it out or not. I can have an SM6 version completely rebuilt by The Iron Factory, but it will be significantly more expensive than a brand new club. Still, that may be the only way to get the wedge I need (or at least want). The post in response to what I did bring up suggested that very few of us are still looking for that club---probably true, although I am. The last post indicated that you were aware of the original lob wedge concept. No major disconnect so far. It appears the issue is that the original concept of the lob wedge is no longer viable among most players, with a few folks like myself being the holdouts. Is that it, or am I missing something?
