Ok.. throwback thursday, my 1st. day of school, about 20 minutes after this photo was taken my mom had her golf clubs in the trunk of the car and was on the way to the golf course lol.. I am the youngest of 5 kids so I am sure she could hardly wait...

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. Greatly appreciated. 
Just finished and have to say that Royal Obidos is awesome. What a course!!! Really challenging but so picturesque and awesome design. It was used last week for the Challenge Tour so the greens were really fast and lots of slopes. The score wasn’t brilliant but such a fantastic experience

Morning All,

Started today with command PT which was a run through First Landing State Park here in Virginia. I like those runs out in nature away from people. Got to stretch out today though since I didn't get the chance to yesterday. Looking forward to the round tomorrow morning with the guys. Hopefully I don't wind up in the trees Like I did a few weekends ago. Although I was able to punch out which I have become pretty decent at doing since that used to be where my ball always went when I first started playing.  Anyhow, lunch time now and then heading home to work on the shed for the chickens. Should have that completed this weekend.

Played 9 last night with my 17 year old kid and watched him drain a 138 yard shot with a pitching wedge. Dropped it five feet from the pin ,rolled in to touch the pin and sink. What a great thing to see on a sunny day

Good morning spies and happy Thursday. Been a crap shoot at work so far this morning, so happy that I am only working till 1:30. Very short day tomorrow as well and then I have an afternoon tee time with one of my old neighbors. 

MASSIVELY COOL NEWS is that I found out yesterday that I won a golf and football trip to Jacksonville! I don't even remember if I entered through Instagram or email, but I had an email yesterday informing me I won a 3 night stay in Jacksonville, a round of golf at Hidden Hills Golf Club (Palmer design) for two, and two tickets to the Packers vs. Jaguars game on 10/27!!

We are booking flights today and I am PUMPED!

When I got home from golfing this morning this was waiting for me in the same spot where I left it, with the MGS head cover

First thing my beautiful wife says to me: "so how did you putt this morning"?  LOL. My response, actually I putted great, I used the Asst Pro's putter because....Wife jumped in: "Are you going to buy "ANOTHER" new putter"?  
I said: "No, I think I can that one used"   She walked out of the room

Not going to buy a new putter, just going to change the weights in the Scotty, making it lighter.  I putted very well with the lighter putter.

Thank you for sharing the pictures. Beautiful course! I hope the hazard pictures were from looking for your partner’s ball not yours! Ha ha

Thankfully they were! I didn’t hit a single bunker all day and only found the water once. My short game was shocking today though. Definitely need to work on it

So, I bought some shorts from a brand that I’ve been buying from for years.  Same size I have been buying for  the same amount of years, they showed up yesterday and they do not fit. They were on sale so no returns...  I think I need to join the exercise thread.  That or they changed their sizing in the past year or so.

Back in the office today, with a work happy hour to follow. Hopefully that means a shorter workday, but we shall see. My dad is scheduled to have hip replacement surgery this morning, so please send good vibes for that to go smoothly. He's an avid golfer and is not happy to have surgery mid-season, but it was necessary with the pain he was dealing with. 

I heard I may not have to go into the office tomorrow anymore, which would be great for me. Office on a Friday is just not something I can get on board with this day in age. At least either way we're quickly approaching the weekend. Unfortunately I won't make the Community Call today, but hope that everyone in attendance enjoys.

@William P Hope the new driver works for you! Mine is just a blast to use . I just pounded it yesterday. Long straight with a little tailing draw or fade depending on what I need. A tailing fade on command - what a concept! Shot a one over par 74!

The other half just put her coffee cup in the dishwasher. Guess the musing period is over for this morning.

Shot an 80 today with the GT's maiden voyage. The club performed well, although I need some range time to get it dialed in. 5 of 6 fairways where used and one bomb of 302 yds. Well, a bomb for me anyway...  The one miss was about 4ft off the fairway to the right. Pleased with the initial outing.
