CFreddie
Apologies if this has already been asked, but I'm curious what fellow spies prefer in terms of grip - traditional (RHL), left hand low, claw, armlock, something crazy? Personally, I couldn't get used to LHL on lag putting, but find myself going back to it on shorter / higher pressure puts. For reference, I game a SC Phantom X 5.5 with the stock Pistolero Plus grip. CudaKota66
Right-handed, wrong-minded golfer FWIW.... I started LHL putting 2 seasons ago. Initially, speed/distance control was an issue BUT line was much better....putts were either on-line just short or rolling over the top of the hole. Returned back to conventional due to a shot-tracking device missing occasional putts (off-topic issue). Speed control was better. Returning to LHL this season after spending this past Indiana winter on a putting mat in the garage. Comparing stats between last season & this season will reveal the truth. tony@CIC 1 Quote Epic Flash King F8 3W Epic Flash Max 7W G425 4i-PW CBX2 50/54/58 Inovai 6.0 Tour Response or Triad (both thanks to MGS testing)

GolfSpy_KFT
As a lefty, I use the traditional LHL grip. Maybe not so traditional, as I admittedly don't pay super close attention to what tour pros do, but I interlock my pinky with my top hand like I do on full swings as well. Sometimes I'll even find that I don't wrap my pointer finger around the grip on my left hand on short tap in putts, but leave it straight down the putter grip. No idea why I do this or when I started doing it (which is as odd to me as it is to you reading this ), but it just makes things feel more stable to me. Fongle
I have consistently inconsistent grips with my different putters With my Scotty (with a matador midsize grip), I have RHL overlap with my trigger finger out, with my 2-Ball (with a Flatso 17 3.0) I tend to using a claw grip (but that changes), and with my og Ping Anser (with an original Ping Man grip) I normally use a RHL reverse overlap. revkev
I'm right handed and use an interlocking grip when putting - I actually remember when I switched to it - on the first green of Town and Country golf course in Sheboygan, WI. It felt great - I've tried left hand low for a bit with some success and might practice it just for a change of pace. I also putted for three years looking at the hole from anywhere outside of 5 feet. Now I'm looking at a spot on my line about two inches ahead of the ball - I really like that. I don't think it was the OPs intent but since many are doing it I use some sort of mid sized grip - right now its the Garsen Ultimate that I'm testing for MGS. tony@CIC, Tom the Golf Nut and Larryd3 3 Quote Driver: Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60 R flex - 44.25 Fairways: Ping G410 5, 7, 9 wood Alta CB red 65 R flex Hybrid: Ping G410 26 degree Alta CB Red 70 R flex Irons: Ping G430 7-PW, 45, 50 Alta CB black 65 soft R flex Wedges: Ping 195 S54, E58 Wedges and irons are - 1/2” and one degree flat Putter: Sacks Parente Duke 32.5” Ball: Titleist Pro VI or Callaway Chrome Soft X ls While not at the same time I was fit for every club in my bag as well as the Pro VI ball. JerryB
I've tinkered a bunch with my putter grip since the start of last year. Tried using the claw grip, left hand low, and a few other hand placements. LHL wasn't overall much better, but it really seemed to help me dial in my stroke on the whole. Now I've got more of a baseball grip with my index fingers down the sides. Golf2Much
Early on I was a terrible putter. I tried everything. Conventional grip, LHL, long putter and even putting side saddle/one sided putting like Sam Snead. Nothing seemed to work. I just couldn't make the LHL/Crosshanded grip feel comfortable. Then about 15 years ago I picked up my putter with my right-hand index finger down the putter grip, overlapped the left and it felt natural to me. I've putted LHL ever since. With time, I became a much better putter and was able to effectively deal with longer lag putt situations. This month I played a new course on a trip and impressed my playing partners with two putts from 60 and 80 feet. Berg Ryman
So I've done a ton of different grips, and what I've settled on is what's being called a ten-finger grip for putting by most outlets. It feels great on the putter grip for me and just allows me to feel very natural in the swing. I don't like to think of it as a classic ten-finger grip because that makes me think baseball or something, but it's an overlapping grip, without the overlap, so ten-finger is probably the right name for it.
