OdinSnipes414
For me I only have a Sundays off of work so that’s the morning I usually go out or Monday morning! The first tee time is normally when I get to get out! So the first hole is normally hit and pray it’s light enough to see! And then power threw and get home to the kids before they wake up or shortly after! This year my wife bought me some Lessons so hopefully get some more time in! But I can normally just pop over to the park with my wife and kids and have her walk them in the wagon and I’ll go play the par three course! But once a year I get to have a golf weekend in Wisconsin here where I go to one of the hotels and play a different course! So golf is really on a whim all the time! Preeway
I play in a Wednesday evening league from May-September. Once school gets out I try to play weekday mornings and only occasionally on the weekends. I am also able to play at Arbor Links where I caddy but typically only in the evening after the last groups have gone out. I'll take 9 holes on that course every chance I get. TylorJudd
This all dependant on the time of year for me, Nov - Feb is SIM after work or weekends. Feb - Early June weekends only unless I have a day off or maybe 9 holes after work in June. June - August 9 holes after work and sometimes 18 when the days are long, weekends primarily. And then weekends August through Oct/Nov. Generally always in the later afternoon, I try to avoid the heat and nobody seems to start afterwards. Golf2Much
Having a career that included stints in managing multinational manufacturing plants and later a job in retail, I've always been an early riser. So, it's not a surprise that I'm up early and ready for golf at the break of daylight. Our course's men's league plays Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the set of first tee times each day. Once a month, our Lower Keys Golf Association has a fund-raising event to support junior golf and the Key West High School golf team that I play in. Throw in a few charity and other course sponsored tournaments during the year, and I estimate I get in over 150 rounds a year. Those tournament tees times are typically much later...7:30 AM! Being retired, I can play anytime. However, living full time in Key West most of the year it's a blessing to be teeing off as early as possible. It gets pretty hot and humid March through October, so an early tee time helps beat the heat. Plus, after finishing between 10 AM and 11 AM, I head home, go out to lunch with my wife and have the rest of the day to enjoy the other advantages of living in the Keys. Life is good! Duxman130
Spring & summer weekdays, I try to hit the range by 4:30 and tee off by 5-5:15. In the fall, I skip the range and try to tee off as soon as possible - chasing daylight with twilight fall golf. I also play afternoons on weekends - the crowd thins out and pace of play at my club is better later in the day on weekends. Winter - depending on the day. I live south of Boston - some courses open year round if there's no snow. If the temp is over 40, we're good to go. Winter golf is best mid-day when temps are highest. A sunny winter day in the 40's with some swing oil and heck, might as well be in Florida. GolfSpy_SHARK and EnderinAZ

Wib081
I try to get a round in on Friday’s early when the weather allows here in the Buckeye state. If I can get out in the evening in spring and summer with my 2 boys that like to golf we’ll squeeze in what we can before sundown. Saturday or Sunday 9 with the 2 goofballs again because less people out there and more time for them to hit and try different things. I’d like to play a bit more during the week but alas work does not allow for that currently. Hacker60521
I try to avoid weekends as much as possible. If I do play on a weekend I go around 230-ish where I can sneak in a round and most people are clearing out. My main days are Tuesday through Thursday around 10-11 start. Willie T
5 hours ago, GolfSpy_APH said: We had a conversation as staff a little while back about when we can normally play…… Are you a weekend golfer? Twilight round golfer? Retired so anytime all the time? Or something in between? What makes it easier for you to fit golf into your schedule? Do you schedule it out so it is set or is it on a whim? Being “mostly”’retired, lots of volunteer stuff/honey-do’s, golf is mostly Tues or Thurs (my son, pretty much my regular golf partner, works shift so we plan around his days off). There are the Fridays when I join in the men’s Friday scramble or a good friend who likes to play 9 in the afternoon about once a week. It’s never planned more than two days out. I guess all that was to say “flexible tee times for me - mainly mornings when it’s my son, afternoons when with my friend and whenever when I am solo…. tdc1
My standing tee time is "it depends." I have two different groups I usually play with. The first usually only plays 9 holes so I'll walk my home course with them at 12:30 any day of the week except Saturday (too crowded). The other group likes to go to a variety of courses within about a one hour drive which usually means tee times between 10:00-11:00 (one of our particularly budget conscious members has a favorite course but he won't tee off there before 11:00 because the "free" hot dog at the turn is for times from 11:00 on). EnderinAZ
Since we moved into the golf course community the courses here run all year at a 2 shotgun starts a day. Although I like early in the morning here during the winter months I do not complain about not being plagued with 2 hour frost delays. So I play the men's league that goes off with the second shotgun 12:30 winter hours and 11:30 summer hours. During the heat of the summer I like to go out after the pro shop closes, say 2:30 in the afternoon. At temperatures over 100 degrees I don't walk, but the course is 99% empty then and in good shape. So I zip through 18 in a couple of hours and 2 gallons of water. Here in the winter the Wild Bunch goes out Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
