Most Interesting Golf Find You've Ever Come Across?

Recommended Posts

So about two years ago I happened upon a Wilson Staff FG-17 Tour Blade 1 Iron at a local Goodwill. The more I look at it sitting in my bag of spare clubs (because I sure can't hit it) I wonder what else might be out there just sitting in garage sales and thrift stores. Please feel free to share pictures and stories of the coolest/most interesting equipment you've ever stumbled across!

Sorry if this is a repetitive topic, but I did not find one in recent archives!

Pictures shown are comparison of the 1 iron and my gamer Apex 5 iron for reference.

Not nearly as old as that, I have a Taylormade forged 2 iron I purchased for $1 at a thrift store. I don't believe it's ever been hit. Every now and again I think about bringing it to the range to see if I can actually get it airborne.

So, when I saw this topic I thought - hey I'm going to apply for a testing opportunity at some point this year so it must be the My Golf Spy website. 🙂  (A little brown nosing never hurt)

I get the sense that the OP means piece of equipment though.  I have enough clubs that I've actually bought hanging around that I can't go looking for stuff like Wilson 1 irons (although I actually had a 1 iron in my bag at one time.)  That is a really sweet find and nice piece to have hanging on the wall or in a spare bag.  I could hear the conversation now:  "You should have seen how I hit it back in the day!"

Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60  Aldila  R flex   - 42.25 inches

SMT 4 wood bassara R flex, four wood head, 3 wood shaft

Ping G410 7, 9 wood  Alta 65 R flex

Srixon ZX5 MK II  5-GW - UST recoil Dart 65 R flex

India 52,56 (60 pending)  UST recoil 75's R flex

Evon roll ER 5 32 inches

It's our offseason so auditioning candidates - looking for that right mix of low spin long, more spin around the greens - TBD

This to me looks like some manufacturing mistake.  At first glance it should play left-handed but that shaft travels behind your sight line into the far side of the head.  ?

Zebra Face-Balanced is stamped underneath, but Google couldn't find it.  Be great if any members here knows why Zebra would produce a back-handed putter like this.  Though I'm inclined to fix it up a notch, it does have a nice feel to it.
