Great round @Erin B. I find it interesting how those rounds seem to come out of nowhere sometimes.

Sitting here listening to my LSSBB course lecture and my brain doesn't want to focus on the information at all. FIL had a scan today and received approval for a whole new host of tests from the oncologist. As if this situation wasn't enough, my wife's sister apparently is in the ER for her own self-inflicted health issues. She has been going through some pretty serious consequences of alcoholism and my wife said she can barely recognize her with the way she looks now. Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to want to get help, and my wife is stuck in the middle of the whole situation because she knows what is probably causing a lot of the guilt that her sister is going through, but she's stuck with whether it's her place to tell that to people so that her sister can get help or not. On the one hand, her sister clearly needs help, but it doesn't seem that she wants help, and my wife isn't sure whether it's her place to blow up that world with the information she knows.

With my FIL's current health situation, my wife and I are trying to figure out the best solution for the kids over the summer break. I work normal hours, and my wife works fluctuating hours being in retail, and neither of us are comfortable leaving our 7 year old and soon to be 10 year old by themselves at home. My FIL had been the one watching them while we were at work, but since he's pretty wiped out already and that's before any sort of treatment plan that will probably be decided in the future. Neither of us are really in a position to just take the summer off work or anything like that, so it's been a little complicated. Luckily, I'm semi-remote and we are trying to manage as best we can, but there are days where it just feels like a lot.

Thanks for sharing,  and know we are here for support, guidance, and just a place to vent the frustrations.  Sometimes it's tough to be the good person AND do the right things for others. Prayers for the Paw In Law.

Lady boss is not happy with me at the moment...🤣 apparently inviting 8 extra people over for after dinner drinks and shenanigans without approval didn't bode well.

Good evening spies!  It'd been quite a day. Got some cool stickers for franken-cart v2.0,  mowed the back yard, weeded the rubber mulch flower bed, helped a buddy speckle paint his garage floor (I did have to help him move the motorcycles and the 2000lb toolbox) then headed to lowes, ya know, just to "browse". They do have a good battery tool sale happening!  Then it was smoker time and dinner. Friends just left 20 minutes ago. We had a few drinks, some laughs, and a rough plan for a possible 2 day golf trip in the fall.

Hope everyone has a great night!

Good evening Spies, another hot, humid and a few off and on raindrops today, and I spent the majority of it getting all the preparations needed for a large family party I put together for tomorrow.

Swapped one of my Corvette's with my brother so I could use his truck to load and carry items back and forth.

We planned this in January for June 23, and tomorrows weather looks to be rain overnight and early morning, but sunny and 80 with low humidity before 12:00 noon.

Good evening gents. Round today went quite poorly. After playing the same course on Thursday and shooting a 74, I felt really good about how my round would go today. The golf gods however had other plans. After chipping in for a birdie on hole 7 to get back to even par, everything slowly began to unravel and I closed out the round with 9 bogey in the last 11 holes. Approach shots weren't awful but all my misses were in really bad spots with little to no chance for saving par. Just a weird feeling shooting 74 and then 48 hours later shooting an 81 on the same course. Oh well, that's golf. Have a good night everyone.

Good evening gents. A great day looping at Arbor. I tweaked my right knee a few weeks ago before my trip to Oregon, and then walking 36 at Bandon didn’t do it any favors. Going to my knee specialist on Thursday and hoping a simple draining of fluid and a cortisone shot will get me right. My left knee is doing remarkably well considering I have a slight tear in the meniscus. Not sure what’s up with my right knee but crossing my fingers it’s nothing major. Going to get in a Rapsodo session after dinner to collect some data with the Ventus and should have some more information to share soon. Hope everyone has a great night!

I can’t envision it being that kind of bad news. I’m still running 8-10 miles each day when I loop so it’s either another minor meniscus issue or a ligament strain that requires me to rest. But it would take something akin to being on my death bed to keep me away from the 18th.

Good evening spies!  Full day of Ranger Rob duties today. Had a guest with a heat stroke/dehydration emergency. Got rescue their via the adjacent roadway from the neighborhood the course is on. Alcohol and 110⁰ temps do NOT mix! I just happened to be going by that fairway and saw him collapse. Fireman carried his hefty body 150 yards to the roadway and gave 911 the address of the closest house. Oh, and he puked all down my back too. Gave my statement and notified the pro shop. The guy will be OK! My shirt and shorts, not so much.

After duties, did a little range session. Was feeling good about it, so hit the course for 18 holes! (Will post in the other thread for that)

Glad you were on the spot to get the emergency help needed notified and responding, otherwise, could have been a different outcome. Sorry to hear about the clothes but a small price to pay for saving a life.

Good evening spies,

Another too hot for golf day for me. I have gotten so dark this summer already it's craaaazy. Trying to space my on the course/range time out a little bit. Besides that, it's also been so hot that I decided to shave the beard (not completely but down to a 2 setting) and now my face looks weird and skinny 😂😂 oh well.

Hope everybody had a great weekend and that you all carry that into the week.

Thanks. I have a minor tear in my left meniscus and it requires a cortisone shot every 4-6 months. This feels very similar and the main issue really is all the fluid in my knee from the inflammation. Looking forward to getting it all taken care of on Thursday.

Thanks. I have a minor tear in my left meniscus and it requires a cortisone shot every 4-6 months. This feels very similar and the main issue really is all the fluid in my knee from the inflammation. Looking forward to getting it all taken care of on Thursday.

All will be good, used to have mine drained long time ago due to baseball. speedy results!

Wow!  Luckily you were nearby and saw it take place. Heat is no joke and then adding booze to the mix.

I prob drink almost a gallon a round because I sweat so much and still feel the heat by the end of the round.

Good evening Spies on what a very busy, much cooler, and truly enjoyable day here.

Put together an extended family gathering, and had a total of 65 people show up, socialize, eat, drink, and enjoy themselves immensely.

A lot of work beforehand, but seeing it be the success that it was truly made it all worthwhile.

Hoping to get last round in with the Motocaddy tomorrow and then I will post my final review afterwards.

At this time, I find it to be a perfect performer for me, although I usually only carry the minimum items needed for a round.

@Preeway best of luck Thursday with your knee, and @Rob Person congrats. for stepping up in a time of need, and also the PB round afterwards.
