If you are interested in playing, please reply in this thread no later than Sunday July 14th. Any entries after that date will be considered, only if there are remaining spots unfilled. Thank You and Good Luck!

I'm in.  Especially if, for some reason, I have to take a day off of work to play I MEAN BECAUSE I HAVE A VERY IMPORTANT DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT OR SOMETHING. Cough.  It's coming on already.  Oh darn.

My standing in my flight is suffering from lack of play lately - 114 degrees this past Friday and supposed to be well over 100 again this coming Friday, and to boot, my daughter doesn't have camp so it's a Daddy Daughter day (not complaining on that front, mind you), so glad to see the event isn't for a couple weeks yet

Just wondering, is there a stroke conversion needed when you play in Canada?  Like one Canadian stroke converts to 0.73 US strokes?

Congrats @USMCSnyper and @GolfSpy_BNG on your promotions. In light of our new standing in Flight I, I suppose we can set aside our grudge match and focus on getting for the upcoming tournament.

@GolfSpy_BEN quick question. In week 11 I submitted two 9 hole rounds. I did that as two separate submissions since I wasn’t sure I would be able to play twice and I wasn’t sure if both rounds would be at the same course.  For flight scoring do you combine the two 9s for an 18 hole score?

I saw that you had 2 nine hole rounds from the same course, but I couldn’t tell if they were a front and back score, 2 fronts, 2 backs, etc. Typically, I would want it to be a front score and a back score for combination purposes. So I erred on the side of caution and took the better of the two as your scoring submission. As a combined round of 100, it would have garnered you 3 points rather than 2. I can adjust it accordingly

@GolfSpy_BEN thanks for the explanation. Makes sense. McKay is a 9 hole course so the front and back are the same.  Not sure how you want to count that going forward. I am fine with whatever the ruling is. In my future submissions I can note front vs back as well. I will follow your instructions.

I'm in! my first week round might not be until the Saturday/Sunday before scores close, but I'll get it in!

I kind of like this promotion concept.  I jumped two positions in Flight II without doing anything.  Come on @tw1ns, @cnosil and @LinksgolfFever start playing better so you can get promoted!

At my count, we have 25 VCT flighted members currently signed up the two-day mid-season tournament.  That's a good start!  Our first two VCT tournaments (2022 Turkey Shoot and 2023 Two Ball) had half that number of participants.

You have until Sunday (July 14th) to sign up by commenting on this thread that you are in!  Teams will be set via a live draw on the July 18th Community Call.  

Like all the previous tournaments, it fun playing with and competing against fellow VCT players from around the world.
