PlaidJacket
Only one for this old golfer. Three years ago. And I swear... I hit the shot just as it needed to be for the pin placement that day. Center-right. I Used a 6i and played for a shot just short and left of center hoping to use the slope and put one close. Sure enough I did just that. I watched it the whole way until it disappeared. At first I thought it might be just behind the pin. But of course as I approached the green I realized it was in the hole. Pretty exciting. Mike Z
Never a hole-in-one. Have had 7 or 8 hole-outs for eagle from 100yds and out with the furthest being about 190. But never from the tee. I have hit the stick, had my ball mark and ball two inches from the hole 180 degrees apart (would love to know how the ball got there). But never an ace. Kor.A.Door
Never had one, I few years ago before all the nice phones with cameras and easy ways to post the photo, I had a very close one, landed a it a foot left of the hole, spun back and hit the hole and lipped out. The guys on the next tee box were yelling the whole time. I also had a near albatross once, a short par 5, tees were up probably about 490, I killed a drive, I had 160 left, hit 8 iron, lands about 5 feet short, rolled just past the hole, to about 3 inches away, still can't figure out how it didn't go in, it was that close Lefties are always in their Right Mind

Kenny B
I've been playing for 23 years, and I've had 2 and a half holes-in-one; one 15 years and one 6 years ago. I thought I had one last year on a 190y playing with a group that included my pro. When I hit it, it was headed for the pin, saw it land and then it disappeared. I hit it solid and said that it was either in the hole or off the back of the green. When we got up to the green, my wife went up to the hole while I was still in the cart. She pulled a ball out of the cup and held it up. Everyone cheered; I stayed in the cart. When she came back to the cart, she said "Did you hit a ratty old Pinnacle?" I said No, and proceeded to the back of the green. My wife has been playing golf for 50 years. She's never had one, although she hit a ball in the hole of a pin on the driving range in Tucson a few years ago! “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Eagle12#
I had my one and only hole in one last July after playing golf for almost 40 years. A down hill par 3, 140 yards. Hit a nine iron, bounced a couple of times and tracked right into the hole. Neither I nor my playing partners had ever witnessed a hole in won until then. It was quite a treat. I usually have a blow up after a good hole but actually parred the next hole which was the #1 handicap. The rest of the round was pretty unremarkable. Still have a mental image of hitting the shot and seeing it go into the hole. Quite a memory!

jpcgolf
It's really funny and really lucky that my only hole in one came when I had just turned 13 a year and a half ago on a par four playing 260 yards. I got invited to play a scramble at my home course and be the "celebrity" for the foursome because they didn't have enough celebrities that they could actually find to play. I went first on hole 14, and I hit driver down the left edge of the green because that is the only way to get your shot to roll on to the green because it is too steep of an upslope just before the center of the green. Anyway, I hit it down the left fringe, and it looked like it was going to be pretty good, and then it kept turning right, and started tracking towards the hole. Then I heard a loud sound of the ball hitting the flagstick, and it dropped in! It was awesome. This is a picture of it from about 2 years ago.
