  2. Squeezed in my last session of Week 8 before I stuff my face with a Thanksgiving feast this afternoon. I'm definitely in the plateau phase and not seeing much improvement in my speeds with the training sticks. I did have my first casualty though: Guess I can't complain about a hole in my glove after 8 weeks of training and approximately 400 max speed swings. Goodbye golf glove, you will be missed! Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

  4. I saw that SuperSpeed has an offer up for Black Friday for any of you who are interested: "Use code "STABILITY" and get a free Stability Pro with any set purchase from BLACK FRIDAY through CYBER MONDAY" I am still waiting on my Stability Pro pad, so I can't comment on how it is, but my fellow testers appear to be enjoying it!

Great job guys - it is a good day to take stock. I’m not going to stress today - did my normal workout and will enjoy the food - I will just get right back on the horse tomorrow. I’ve found that I can eat most anything I used to - I just eat much less of the less healthy stuff and eat it less frequently, no fast food what so ever and nothing unhealthy after dinner. 209.4 in February - 164.7 today - I’ve been on either side of 166 for over a month. 168 was my goal when I set it in March. We will all do fine through the holidays if we stay active and eat our treats moderately Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  7. The ball speed doesn't lie, and the dispersion circle was tight. I got caught up in the numbers a bit after my fitting and it made me second guess the whole thing, but then I remembered we play golf on courses, not ranges with Trackman. All things equal, the ballspeed number was bigger, and bigger is better! Sent from my Pixel 3 using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  8. First off, congratulations Kenny for hitting a milestone. That's awesome! That's one of the beautiful things about SuperSpeed, seeing speed increases and knowing the work is paying off. I did my second session today. The highlights: 110, 105, and 102 from lightest to heaviest. It's the first time I hit over 100 with the heaviest (blue for me) club. The lowlight: I nearly fell off the stability pad. Just a friendly warning, when using the Stability Pro mat use caution and pay attention to where your knees wander off to. If you happen to notice they are getting near the edge of the mat, please reposition them closer to the center. At least it's a short drop from knee height. I'm loving the mat, it's a lot more comfortable than the one I bought from Lowes. I feel it's kinder and gentler to the knees. To all you out there, wherever you are, I hope each of you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Sent from my SM-G955U using MyGolfSpy mobile app

So I'm happy to be down 30 lbs this year but my goal is another 40 lbs away. The 30 lbs was without any changes to my diet. Starting after the holidays I'm gonna change my diet up and see if I can hit my goal.

  10. TS2 9.5* HZRDUS Smoke 6.0. eBay coupon and an additional 10% off brought it down to $382 shipped... I couldn't say no. After my fitting, I picked up ball speed and my dispersion was very tight. I still feel like I'm leaving distance on the table, but the Trackman numbers were good. Still launching a tad low, but those might've been not-so-great strikes due to the Indian, and shitty range balls. Still, 7MPH average ballspeed over my G400 Max hitting those same range balls.

    How'd you play?

Hehe... my normal Thursday partner told me it was the normal time of 7:28 am, but at the last minute he calls and says that oops, it was 8:40. so, I couldn’t start that late as I was having lunch with my wife, so the starter told me I could just start on 10, which is a long par 4. It was also cold, as I could actually see my breath! And then play the front when my buddy arrived. so, without ANY warmup, in order to start ahead of a deathly slow older couple, I fired off and kinda overlooked drew my drive. Left me 210 out so I just decided to lay up and hope for a close chip. It ended up 12 feet away, but I got the putt to drop. The back 9 is the tougher side but I had nobody in front of me , nor anyone pushing me. Ended up even and then met my bro for the front. it was now a despairingly slow event now, as every non golfer on the planet had shown up for their annual game with their father in law. Wait, wait wait... Ended up 5 over on the back..., and it’s the easier side. So with all that time, I decided it was the perfect time to try a new swing change... derrrrrr So now tell me, did you prefer version 1, or 2? Happy Turkey day!!

That Alton sure does make some "good eats" :P. I too have used his turkey recipe along with many other of his gems. He's definitely a food network/cooking channel staple. Happy thanksgiving! The turkey is in the smoker! For several years now, I've been using Alton Brown's turkey recipe (https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/good-eats-roast-turkey-recipe-1950271). Brining the bird makes a huge difference, and I've had very good success stuffing the turkey with fruit and aromatics. The only adjustment I make to Brown's recipe is that I cook it in the smoker rather than the oven. Everything is better with smoke.

I've got a turkey in the smoker for the holiday. I used a sweet and smoky rub along with peach wood. The peach was an accident, by the time I put it in to soaki was so tired that I thought it was pecan. At least the first two letters were right. Sent from my SM-G955U using MyGolfSpy mobile app

  18. With the Thanksgiving holiday I will be changing my schedule. It has been M-W-F since starting Level 2. I will be spending the holiday with my dad; just turned 88 last month, so my 3rd session will be on Saturday afternoon after driving 300 miles. I just finished my 2nd session of Week 2. I haven't had any problems with the kneeling swing, in fact speed is up from last week with all clubs. The first session last week my kneeling swing speeds were low-80's; by the 3rd session last week speeds were in mid-80's; today the speeds were mid- to high 80's. All clubs are about the same, and right and left handed speeds are the same. I reached a new milestone with the lightest club... 110 mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was on my second Step Change swing with the Yellow club. The speed increase could be due to a change I made in my warmup. Today at 11am it was 30º with fog and a light mist falling. I have been doing the warmup outside, even with temps in the low 30's. Today I said NO!! I set up everything outside, then went inside to do the warmup. Came back outside to complete the warmup with the 10 swings with the Blue club, then immediately into the protocol. I felt better being nice and warm.

  19. The Pad arrived yesterday just in time for the last workout of week two. I got the turkey in at 1230 and then started the workout. I’ve been slow all week but was ridiculously slow through the red club warm up swings and then none of my first set green club swings hit 100, that’s never happened. As I switched sides I realized it was on baseball mode -switched it back to golf, redid that set and while not up the prior three weeks it was up from Monday and Tuesday. Kneeling swings were way up using the pad verses the towel. Also my knees feel much better post workout. My trainer suggested a handful of mixed nuts pre workout and a portion of plain Greek Yogurt post and Daisy a warm soak afterwards. I put both together and only have that nice little soreness that says, “I worked out today,” as I’m writing. Best of all though is that I got my speed back for the last three swings with my 110 on the green being my fastest of the week (I had a few 111’s the week before). Still off on the blue and red but feeling like they will be back up to speed next time out. Here’s the tally: Dominant Green 110, Blue 103, Red 97 Non-Dominant. Green 100, Blue 97, Red 92 Fastest kneeling swing was 90. Have a great Thanksgiving all Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

Pictures to come, but I'm working on a smoked and grilled lunch for the officers at our Michigan State Police post tomorrow (where I'm the chaplain). Three racks of ribs spent an hour in the smoker, and are now in a sous vide bath at 155° overnight. The brisket is now in the smoker. Tomorrow morning, I'll cut up the point and make burnt ends to go with the sliced brisket. I'll mix up the mac and cheese tonight, and tomorrow it'll spend an hour on the grill picking up some smoke flavor. My wife is making a pot of beans and a couple dozen cornbread muffins. Hoping everything turns out well!

  34. Looks amazing, how's the glare from the sun? I'm going to give the ER2.2 (is that what they're going to call it?) a roll when it drops to see if a plumbers neck suits my stroke better, and I'd like to ship it straight to someone to finish rather than all the way to Hawaii and then back out. The finish on my current ER2 literally blinds me. I don't like wearing my shades while putting but I actually can't with the sun lasering me eyes like a reverse Cyclops from X-Men. Weight Loss Thread

Over the last nine months or so, I have been watching my food intake in both type and volume. As a result, I have lost about 15 pounds. I decided that my effort to lose weigh should be done rather slow and easy, because I am trying to change my dietary lifestyle. If I had attempted some sort of crash diet, I feared that it would not be a genuine lifestyle change and when I reached my goal, I could revert back to my old lifestyle given what I thought could be the pain and aggravation of a crash effort. But now comes the holiday season. I'm not sure how it happened, but our place has become the locale where my wife's rather large family gathers on the holidays, such as Thanksgiving tomorrow. Every year, the wife says that she is not going to prepare as much food, but, every year, she fixes enough to feed an army. While she gives everyone their share of leftovers to take home, we still have a lot of food remaining in the fridge to be eaten and most assuredly we will do so. Once that is accomplished, Christmas and New Years is not that far away. Accordingly, I'm not sure how I am going to handle my typical holiday lifestyle. I'm thinking that if I can not gain any weight or keep it to only two or three pounds, I did good. I'm guessing that I am not the only one with holiday concerns, so permit me to ask, how do you handle it.

Work has been nuts so prior to yesterday, I hadn’t compressed a golf ball for ~3 months. And I can’t remember the last time I rolled the rock on dormant Bermuda (probably stimped around 12). 2 bogeys (3 putted the first 2 holes), 1 birdie and an eagle on #18 for (-1) 70. Feels good to be playing again. Heading out for another loop today... expecting the worst. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
