dhartmann34
Brrrrrr Did you post something on "How'd Ya Play?" .. curious how your lessons worked out for you? Goodness I haven't updated on that here have I. Lessons have been fantastic. Dropped my index down to a 3 when I started over 7 this year. Keeping the ball in play off the tee has been a life saver. Being shorter with my swing has created more distance and more consistency. Obviously there's still a ways to go but I'm excited. And adding a new driver the past couple of weeks has me giddy for next season... yungkory
Played a Muni course twilight after work today. Part of the course is fenced off so we had to skip holes 5-8 at the request of the worker who want to go home, but we managed to finish the other 14 holes before the sun went down at 6:15. Not bad for walking and teeing off at almost 3:30pm, and $10 golf is cheaper than practicing at the range. yungkory
Lucky you! It's snowing in Pennsylvania, but howd you play? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk Didn't get to play a full 18, and I forgot to grab a pencil before we teed off. Was using The Grint to keep track, but one of the workers came up to us after we finished #3. He wanted to close the gate that leads to 5,6,7,8 so he could go home. I can sympathize having used to work in a restaurant and waiting for guests to leave. He offered to let us play 4, and then hop to 9 and keep going through 18 so we obliged (we only paid for 9-hole twilight). I didn't want to fuss with ending and starting another round - just wanted to try to finish as many holes as possible before the sunset. Managed to get through the entire back 9 and I played decent. Nothing more than bogey, some boring pars, and 2 birds -- so maybe shot like 3 over if I had to guess. Next time we do this we're planning on keeping score on the back 9, and whatever holes we play on the front will just be practice. More exiting, my buddy made his first birdie today. Then, he made another one -- where he lipped his approach from about 90y which would have been eagle. He just started playing this year and has a long way to go, but edit: The Grint sold me out though, I didn't know if you added friends to it, it gave them updates. Coworker texted me and said "haha, I know what you are doing right now" then 3 holes later he congratulated me for the birdie I made, and that the app told him about. Big money
I have a million pics from my trip to the south west. But this one will always stand out.On a everyday public short course they had this immensely deep practice sand trap.I stood in it and it had a lip over 7 feet easily. Was so odd, the course had bunkers that had zero lip.Not sure the thinking behind this.Never ran into a practice area design that was complete opposite of the actual course.Wont forget this fozcycle, Golfspy_CG2, Rickp and 1 other 4 Quote Keep it in the short stuff
