golf weekend in southeast

I am trying to plan a golf weekend with my father-in-law. I'd like to take him to a "dream" course. It needs to be reachable from Atlanta. We will fly if needed but I'd like for it not to take a whole day.

 

My initial thoughts were the usual:

 

The Stadium course, TPC Sawgrass

 

Harbour Town Golf Links, Hilton Head

 

The Ocean Course, Kiawah Island

 

Pinehurst No. 2

 

 

Any thoughts/suggestions?
