Fantasy Football

We no longer have our MGS Forum Fantasy league, but that doesn't mean we should stop discussing it or helping each other with start/sit advice, roster decisions and whatever else. 

I'm in 5 leagues this year on 4 different platforms which makes it very wild. One is a 10 team unlimited keeper super flex, another is a full superflex IDP dynasty league, a 12 team PPR, a 14 team PPR and what is basically a 16 team PPR spread across CBS, Fantrax, ESPN and Sleeper. Week one is looking like it will be an okay start and should only loose 1 matchup. 

I don't have a lot of stock in anyone specific this year and did a great job drafting a wide range of players. Although it was nice to see Robinson and Patterson have good games with having drafted a couple of those guys. I only had one crummy roster decision which was having to bench Godwin for Hines which turned out to be a good call. 

It was a pretty crazy week one with a lot of players who I expected to be studs be duds and some nice surprises from rookies and guys coming off injuries. 

How many leagues are you guys in? What platforms do you use and have a good week one or no?

In a couple different leagues this year... 

Might just sneak out two wins in the season long leagues I care most about!  I'll need an average performance from Denver's DST, which makes me uneasy since I put them in over Miami who scored the most points in our league for DST this week.  *facepalm* 

My wife and I are also in an elimination pool and while my pick survived with Baltimore, she lost out with the tie for Indy!  What's crazy is there are 1,334 entries in the pool and over 50% we're eliminated yesterday! Indy and the colts alone represented 415 of the 694 eliminated players.  

One poor soul actually picked the Patriots to win... thankfully I wasn't silly enough to do that!

4 leagues, 4 wins... highest scoring team in three of them. Drafted well, performed well, but nowhere near overconfident. Season long is a long slog with a lot of things that can go wrong so you always need to be prepared.

10 Team PPR that is in it's 10th year running. Very rough start for my first week, which seems to happen every year. Drafted a solid team, but lost one to a concussion immediately and my 1st round draft pick didn't get much going yesterday. Let the annoyance of my wife during football season begin!

I was 3 for 4 but lost Prescott which caused the loss. Kills me he is not going on IR now I’ll have to drop him instead of put him on IR. Slim pickings looking between Winston or Ryan.

Quick start sit for anyone listening in our or paying attenting. J Rob, Mooney or Patterson in PPR. I need 2 of them. Then Shepard or Dotson in a flex same thing PPR! Help!

So how many of you have teams that are just done due to injuries already this season? 

fyi started J Rob which was a win, but also Patterson who stunk and Shepard who got out performed by Dotson. FF Managing skills at its finest!

So far so good on that front for me. If I'd have seen you prior comment sooner I'd have recommended Dotson! I had him on my bench as well in favor of McLaurin and wouldn't know you that Dotson went and outscored him, again!

You already know where I stand on this topic lol. 
 

I got a lot of Dak, Akers, Dobbins, Mitchell, Schultz, Trey Lance, Brian Robinson stock this year. 
 

It was nice to see Cooper Rush keep CeeDee Lamb somewhat valuable.

lol yeah I know and I feel bad. I am just hopeful I have enough depth to last the year.

How many leagues are you in? Who are you targeting in drafts? 

Any sleepers? Or advice for others going into drafts?

I am not nearly as obsessed as I used to be LOL, only do a couple teams each year. I used to do between 10 and 20, commished a bunch, just don't have that kind of time anymore.

Do we do any leagues with people from the forum? I would be interested in that if anyone does. 

This year I am doing both my current drafts this week. Both just live online drafts. One group we used to do a live in person, but it just got so hard getting everyone together. Most of my research will be done in the next few days.

Let me know if anyone wants to do a league, I would even create if we have the people. Just don't want to chase to fill LOL Cheers!

There is/was a larger league, but I think they may have drafted or filled @Berg Ryman? 

There are a few other smaller leagues, but I think the spots are all filled.

Our draft just wrapped up and we decided to switch the last place punishment. Instead of a shot from a shoe, it is now the Waffle House challenge. Loser must spend 24 hours there, but every pancake eaten subtracts an hour. 

I don’t even care to win now, I just don’t want last.

I think 30 sounds impressive. Especially since I know you have a good amount of success and manage all those teams well. I am at 3 and that is enough for me this season. Forum is too busy for me to commit to anything more!

It’s more than I should be in but a decent amount of them are best ball dynasty leagues so less to manage which helps.
