It's a scaly bump caused by if UV exposure and can turn cancerous in certain situations. They numbed the spot and removed it to send off for a biopsy and I should know in a week or two what the results are. For now, I have to keep it bandaged and put Vaseline on it. When I had my basal cell carcinoma removed in 2005, they also removed a couple of AKs and froze some others.
