Popular Post Byrnzee
Good morning Spies! Back to reality after a fun weekend. What an exciting announcement to open The Forum to this morning - those PXG irons look SICK! The Forum staff weren't lying about this one being big. Best of luck to everyone applying! This week shouldn't be too stressful with work stuff and we have Olympic golf to look forward to! I can't believe it's almost August already. Was able to play golf yesterday but didn't feel confident in my swing for most of the round. I decided to look into Skillest and found an instructor located in my area who has reasonably priced coaching plans. I have my first virtual meeting with them this afternoon and I'm hoping it can develop into a good relationship that'll help get my swing dialed in. Hope everyone has a great start to their week! Popular Post ILMgolfnut
Ok, Jamie, you're killing me with all these tests and I'm still tied up with Fit For Golf, which I was selected for in January I think. Sigh. I've been very happy with my PXG wood and would love to try their irons. Good morning Spies! Active weekend with two workouts and an 80-ball range session. Feeling the effects in my shoulder and hips. Not in my back for once, which is a nice change. Schedule says another workout today; we'll see if the aches cooperate. @RichL85 I've been following your situation with the FIL. My FIL dropped dead in the shower 37 years ago, which was traumatic for everyone, me included, but I think that's preferable to the extended decline you're going through. Popular Post Erin B
Good Monday morning spies! I have a case of the Mondays this morning. Good news though, the swelling in my elbow is going down. Taking today and maybe tomorrow off from golf activities, except maybe driving range. I’ve got a couple shaft changes I wanna try for my driver. I have tournaments this weekend and I’m hitting the mini drivers very well as a 2 and 3 wood setups. The Callaway mini as the 2 and the BRNR as the 3. I can play this way going forward without the driver but I like blasting it with the Paradym. Maybe I finish the season without it, I’m prepared for that. Popular Post Shrek74
Good morning, Spies and welcome to another week!! It's been a soggy last week+ here. But what's been really annoying is the unpredictability of it. 5 days out the report says 80% chance. Then the morning of that same day, it says 24%. Then it downpours. Very annoying and hard to plan stuff that way. Hopefully it'll break and we'll get back to our regularly programmed weather soon. This Sunday shows clear and 86* or the high. Hopefully that'll be the start of normal summer weather, especially with our member-member coming up on the 10th-11th. Good progress was made on the clubsmithing workbench this weekend. The two base cabinets are tied together with the plywood base and 4 locking casters. Now we just need to sand and stain the top and attach it and I'll get to start working on my own stuff finally. Here's the topic on the bench building - https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/65744-diy-clubmaking-workbench/ More updates when we get the top done and installed. Everyone have a wonderful week!!! Got a busy week ahead with my FIL seeing the radiologist tomorrow and scheduled for his first round of chemo on Thursday. He's down to 118 pounds, at 6'1, he looks a bit like a skeleton. It's crazy to see and it looks like he's deteriorating pretty quickly from my point of view. So far we've seen his oxygen saturation drop into the low 70s, blood pressure has been down as low as mid 90s over 60, and his blood glucose has spiked to 500. And that was just yesterday. It's... A lot. Aside from that, I have a little work to catch up on today and then will spend most of the afternoon with the kids. They are at that stage of being bored of the summer so I need them to burn off some energy. Got some golf scheduled for the weeks ahead, so that's about all I have to look forward to at the moment.
